Last month you joined us in asking the UK government to support the Education Cannot Wait Fund – a Fund for Education in Emergencies > http://www.plan-uk.org/what-you-can-do/hands-up-for-humanity/

Together, we made sure they listened and the UK government committed a fantastic £30 million to the newly launched fund!

THANK YOU so much for your support. Providing girls and boys with education in emergencies means they can rebuild their lives when stability returns, are more protected from exploitation and harm, and it can provide a sense of normality and distraction during times of distress.

Now’s its essential that the fund reaches the most marginalised girls in emergencies, and we will continue to monitor the fund to ensure it does.

Nepal 6 months update: with more than 35,000 classrooms destroyed, nearly 1 million children could not return to school, following the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal 6 months ago.

We're helping children get back on their feet and back to school for the long-term. Our aim: to provide 135,000 children with access to quality education and early childhood development.

Please support our work with a donation > http://www.plan-uk.org/what-we-do/disasters/current-emergencies/nepal-earthquake/
