Today, Japan is celebrating #Tanabata. This star festival commemorates the one day per year that two lovers, Orihime and Hikoboshi (represented by the stars Vega and Altair respectively), are able to meet. In present-day #Japan, people generally celebrate this day by writing wishes, sometimes in the form of poetry, on tanzaku (small pieces of paper), and hanging them on bamboo.

Learn Pimsleur while you sleep? “A new study finds listening to recordings of new material while asleep may actually help you learn” a new language. We still stand by the Principle of Anticipation our courses use!

Read more about the study: http://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/learning-language-sleep-study-article-1.1851980
The idea that dozing off with a textbook under one's pillow enables "learning by osmosis" may be nothing more than a running joke among chemistry students, but a new study finds listening to recordings of new material while asleep may actually help you learn.
