A few days ago I received the Intel Core i7 5775C for Linux testing, one of the first Broadwell desktop/socketed chips featuring Iris 6200 graphics. In the days since, I've been trying to test it under Linux. http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=i7-5775C-Idle-Problems

Thanks for the heads up on serious problems.  Looks as though I'll have to table the new-Winbox build, as trying to run a CPU that can't hack LinUX 4.2 is asking for BSOD's attempting to install Win 10.0.12000.

Yeah, just ten years too bloody late. A lot of us jumped ship as soon as it became obvious they didn't give a toss about Linux a decade ago, and weren't going to bother building TGEA (The first version with the new renderer) with portability in mind.
Those of us who forked out for the licenses back then were left feeling pretty burnt. I suspect that those choices had something to do with Garage Games falling down the slope a fair way too.

http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=New-10-Site-Is-Live For those in the US not busy celebrating Independence Day, come check out the brand new, completely redesigned Phoronix.com site. This new site is in beta but is publicly available and should yield a much better experience, particularly for smartphone and tablet readers.

Phoronix
Introduction

Phoronix Media's premiere web property is Phoronix.com, which was founded after seeing the lack of online media that covered alternative operating systems at the time -- primarily when it came to Linux hardware reviews. Phoronix provides readers with the most detailed and up-to-date information in the computing world when it comes to the Linux and other open-source operating systems. Phoronix is especially well regarded for its Linux graphics articles and with time has become the leader in providing original Linux hardware content. More than 2,600 featured articles and 10,000 news postings have been published at Phoronix.

Phoronix is also responsible for the development of the widely-used Phoronix Test Suite testing software along with Phoromatic and OpenBenchmarking.org.

Phoronix was founded by Michael Larabel on 5 June 2004.
