That case design makes me think of a creature from a game, but I just can't quite grasp it...

Excellent idea, I hope it takes off! Offline resources are essential. It's interesting how reliant we've become on always having connectivity..

Phoronix
Introduction

Phoronix Media's premiere web property is Phoronix.com, which was founded after seeing the lack of online media that covered alternative operating systems at the time -- primarily when it came to Linux hardware reviews. Phoronix provides readers with the most detailed and up-to-date information in the computing world when it comes to the Linux and other open-source operating systems. Phoronix is especially well regarded for its Linux graphics articles and with time has become the leader in providing original Linux hardware content. More than 2,600 featured articles and 10,000 news postings have been published at Phoronix.

Phoronix is also responsible for the development of the widely-used Phoronix Test Suite testing software along with Phoromatic and OpenBenchmarking.org.

Phoronix was founded by Michael Larabel on 5 June 2004.
