This is a perfect example of what I have been saying for many decades - the person/corporate/agency that pays your medical bills dictates the treatment you may receive. In Ontario, the Provence pays your medical bills so the Provence dictates the treatment. Unfortunately, they decided to withhold treatment.
An Ontario widow has filed a constitutional challenge of a provincial policy requiring alcoholics to be sober for six months before they can get a liver transplant, five years after her husband’s death from liver failure.
