i'm afraid dahlia litwick is right: trump isn't the problem but a symptom. the real problem is much deeper:

apparently the old opera browser is making a comeback, or is being reinvented, or something. i used to like it a lot, and it's coming with the 'blink' engine (same as chromium), which is a good thing, too:

during the transition to KDE framework on archlinux somehow the kio-slave for the fish protocol seems to have got lost.

while i've read some nasty comments much earlier, that 'fish' was a nasty hack, not a protocol, and should just die, i like it a lot. up / download speed isn't as good as when using SFTP, but it's much quicker when editing many small text files remotely, which i often do.

i used to be able to drop files from konqueror with a remote SSH / fish connection into kate and edit them. now i get an error message that the kio-slave for 'fish' couldn't be found...

i hope this is a temporary thing during the transistion, or is it, +Andrea Scarpino ? since the same thing happens when i connect konqueror via SFTP i tend to think it will be solved eventually.
