Is your note 2 still feeling the love or have you had to move on?
I have enjoyed my note 2 for just over a year and a half. I still think that this is a great device and hardly ever use the home desktop computer or indeed my note 10.1 tablet as the note 2 really does just about all I ever need to do.
I will be upgrading to the note 4 as soon as my contract allows, which will be end of January. I can wait, but I know that getting the note 4 will be worth the wait.
My note 2 is starting to wear out however, the earphone socket started to play in only the LH earpiece, at first I thought it was the headphones but after trying 3 different headphones and using Google, I came to the correct conclusion that the earphone socket was broke. I do use it all the time, so fair enough.
Then the micro Usb charging connector snapped, you know, the little middle part. Again it gets a lot of use so fair enough again.
I found both these parts on Amazon, and after watching YouTube videos of how to do it, I duly set about carrying out major surgery to my beloved note 2. It was a bit daunting, stripping out the motherboard and all, wondering if the parts were the exact same, would it even start up when re assembled. Well, much to my surprise, it did work and headphones and charging socket both work as they should, ...phew!
My love affair with this phone carries on.
I am wondering how other people's note 2's are fairing up now that they are getting older. Are they getting repaired , to be loved again, or, consigned to the old tech drawer and on to pastures new?
