I removed a psychotic rant about carbon monoxide.  We actually ran a CO tester on this that was operated by a guy that does professional CO testing for a living.  He said it was cleaner than any natural gas heater he has tested.  Further, for our indoor installations, we have CO testers plugged in - these things run very clean.   Plus, it turns out that if you heat your home with a rocket mass heater for a year, it will emit less than a tenth of the greenhouse gases that natural gas emits!  Bonus!

+Cameron Trexler You don't want to chop the head off with the chicken seeing, because she will be scared, and her blood will clot if you would immediately chop the head off. Clot's taste really bad; you'd want them to be semi unconscious, like what she was doing before she slit the throat. The chicken, usually experiences 3-5 seconds of pain with this method. The blood flows quickly at the angle she was at, and the chicken lost consciousness, eventually bleeding out, then you rip or chop the head off.

Myrtle, for some reason I can't see how to reply to your post, so I'm just writing a new post.

The answer is:  Yes!  The are here and available.  We are currently cobbling together a web page to sell them, but basically you can see them via streaming here:

https://vimeo.com/ondemand/wdg

(complete with this video updated to be a trailer/preview complete with some of the new footage)

We set up a page so that kickstarter supporters could add stuff to their order - and folks that missed the kickstarter could order.  We have only a few packages left to go out.  But a person could squeeze in one more order:

Youtube emailed me to say that somebody posted a message here on youtube saying that kickstarter was weird.  But when I follow the link to here, no message.   Sorry guy - I don't know what happened.  It's been a couple of minutes and gobs of people have supported the kickstarter.   I know it sounds weak, but .... try again?

This is delightful, providing visuals of projects from the podcasts. Makes imagining their changes in the future much easier. Also appreciate having faces to go along with some of the voices from the podcasts.

Don,

I tried to reply to your post, but apparently it is not allowed.

Earthships:  we have a whole forum on earthships here:  http://www.permies.com/forums/f-78/earthship

I've written a fair amount.  And I've talked about them in greater detail in podcasts:

I found out about these folks from a friend who is so frugal that he wants to do all of his car repairs himself. He says that for $25, these guys diagnosed the problem, told him what parts he would need and how to fix his own car. The first time I went, they advised me to take my car to Toyota because it was something they were fixing for free. The second time, I was prepared to pay $1500 for a problem that they fixed for $40. The last time, I thought I had oil leaking into my exhaust - they then gave me an education on why it looks that way - but that I wasn't actually losing any oil. I now realize my mistake. They advised me to have my oil changed more often. Another outfit would have milked me for thousands. I'm building a lot of trust with these guys. I like them.
