At 9am PST today, join me live for another episode of The Meta Game, where - along with the real-time chat - I'll be talking about board games, and talking about talking about board games.

Watch at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faJz-cbT-zs

This week's topic: The video game-ification of board games.
Will video eventually replace the analog gaming industry?
Do board game apps cannibalize the board game market?
Do video games that play like board games qualify as being board games?

Hope to see you (well, your YouTube avatar and chat messages) there!

Deleted scene!
Every now and then, while putting together a video, you’ll realize that you have more footage than you actually need. Sometimes, it can be a substantial amount of footage!

This was the case with the recent review of 77 Ways To Play TENZI. For that video, an entire additional section was produced, which used the blank cards included with the expansion to create 23 more ways to play TENZI, for an even 100 ways to play.

Unfortunately, the list actually ended up bogging down the the video, so, in the end, I decided to cut it. But I'm posting it here as a somewhat special supplemental “behind the scenes” kind of video… sort of. Enjoy!

Last summer, I discovered a game that managed to replace another game that wasn't even in my collection yet!

Which games were they? Find out in today's video, posted over at The Dice Tower, at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJ5hBw5QuVg

What's the most recent game in your collection to be replaced? What ended up replacing it?

Upcoming Live Show!
As an experiment, this Friday's live episode of The Meta Game will be broadcast on Pair Of Dice Paradise's YouTube channel.

This week's topic: What's your monthly gaming quota?

How many board games do you typically play in a month? Where do you play the most games (home, conventions, etc)? And what percentage are new ones, versus old favorites?

As always, I'll discuss my thoughts on the topic, followed by a Q&A session about it, and anything else that comes up. Hope to see you there!
