Congrats to Justin “Trauma” Lichter and Shawn “Pepper” Forry who completed the first ever winter thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail. So psyched for them both and lucky to have Shawn back at Outward Bound California​ in time for our summer season!
By mid-November, Shawn Forry and Justin Lichter had made covered more than 600 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail when their trip nearly ground to a halt in northern Oregon.

The Outward Bound family is sad to announce the death of The Honorable John C. Whitehead. We are forever grateful for his dedication to our mission of ‘changing lives through challenge and discovery.’ Our condolences to all who share in this loss to our community. May we honor and celebrate him for all of his great achievements and a lifetime of public service to our country and to Outward Bound.
