On each floor of the hotel it smells like sewer and it coming Into your room, that was a terrible experience . the hotel is very old. the maintenance. Making sure they did touch up to keep it looking up to date the people there were nice and I did like going to the arena very close to the hotel An easy to get back to when your feet is hurting.
Response from the owner - 4 weeks ago
We appreciate your recent post and are pleased to hear that you found the Arena convenient and the people friendly. Our apologies that there seemed to be an odor on the hotel floors, we will bring this matter to the attention of the Facility Director and do our best to correct this problem. Thank you.

During a convention attended the employees/staff have all been extremely accommodating and attentive. The hotel remains busy and fill of activity, which provides an entertaining environment. ... And the food provided during conference was not bad. I would definitely come again on independent vacation.

A good value for those looking to stay of the Strip but close enough to be able to sightsee and catch shows. Casino, front door/valet area and registration are nauseatingly smoky. To the point where i got a headache waiting to check in. I didn't bother exploring the rest of the resort as this was a major detourant for me. The outer area looks a little rougher at night. Bonus: Jack in the Box and In and Out Burger are right down the street!

A 4 star rating would normally be appropriate, but since Vegas has so many resorts, it's important to keep things clear. A bit dated. Impressive but softer wow factor. But enjoyable in many respects. Clean. Nice staff. Lots of bars and places to eat. Decent rooms. Enjoyed my stay with business colleagues. Lots of locals come here to gamble. Not cheap but you don't feel like they are trying to gouge you.

Clean casino, restaurant are affordable to eat, movie theater is always clean, no one is ever rude to you, always have workers around they don't hesitate to answer. Overall love it here! Recommend for party events especially with bowling!

The rooms are nice looking, but minimal "extras" (for example there are a few Styrofoam coffee cups but no lids). The rest of the resort has nice areas, like bathrooms, and some other areas that feel a little old and run down, like some of the restaurants. The hotel staff ranged anywhere from great to poor in customer service. Every single one of the cleaning personnel greeted us warmly when we saw them. And on the flip side the employee who checked us in acted as if we were greatly inconveniencing for needing to check in to the hotel and would barely answer our question about the best place to park. The woman who took our order for room service also acted as if it were burdensome for us to place an order. But to balance her out the security guards at the entrance to the elevators for guest's rooms were always friendly and pleasant. A nice benefit was the room service menu seemed very cheap. Wifi was free but slow and only allows up to three devices to connect at one time.

Although off the strip, I really like this Hotel and think its a great value! It has Cinema, A Bowling Alley, Decent Sportsbook, lots of gaming tables in a cool Orleans atmosphere. I have stayed several times and their rooms are clean, and slightly larger then most hotels. Of course, book online for the best rates. I look forward to staying there again!

As far as the casino side goes everything was as expected. Cocktail waitress came by a dozen times. Slots are a little stingy. As for the Arena. Probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a live show. Went to see Mannheim Steamroller. Needed ADA compliant seating for a guest of mine. Well apparently only the individual needing the complaint seating can sit in the area. And to top it off the ADA seating is in the last row of the arena. From what I could see there is only one section of ADA seating having enough space for eight to ten individuals. So following the ushers direction to my seats I found out I was in the wrong seats and could not sit near the ADA seating area. I personally feel having the only ADA seating area in the back of the arena is borderline discrimination. If I paid for a floor level ticket and end up sitting in the farthest seats in the arena this could be strewn as discrimination by not allowing ADA individual the same access to goods and services as non-ADA individuals. In conclusion, I will be telling everyone I know to avoid the Orleans Arena at all costs. If the administration can figure out how to accomplish compliance with the ADA regulations I will gladly try the venue again.
