We love The Orleans! This is the third time we've visited. It's an off-strip, locals casino just a few minutes from Las Vegas Boulevard. The Orleans is huge, with thousands of slot machines, loads of tables, a bowling alley, pool, spa, cinema, arcade... the list goes on. It sticks to a New Orleans mardigras theme and is colourfully decorated. Being off strip means it doesn't tend to attract the drunken frat party or spring break crowds you'll see in some of the others, but with 6 bars and heaps of restaurants there's a really great atmosphere here. The rooms are really big with generous sitting space, big beds, decent TV and really good shower water pressure. They've recently bought in loads of new slots (within the last year) and have some (like the Game of Thrones one) which are really difficult to find on the strip. The staff are really friendly, the facilities are superb and the frequent shuttle bus (to The Linq and Gold Coast) make this place really shine. It's very easy to split your time between The Orleans and the strip casinos, taking in all the different themes and styles. If you're gambling, keep in mind that the Orleans slots pay out better than any other in Vegas and there are plenty of low limit tables for recreational gamblers. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Las Vegas! Tip: Don't forget to check out the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory - the pretzels are amazing!

For a off the strip casino and hotel they have made it very welcoming to everyone. As to the friendly staff to large rooms with just the right things one would need. The good court is upscale kept nice nest and organized. Sone of the nicer good places. Casino floor is a little hard to win at but they has a vast variety of games one could ever need. Also a non smoking section which i don't find that alot of places. 4 stars

All staff were friendly and courteous. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Lots of choices for different kinds of food to eat at good price. Will definitely stay here again.

One of my favorites in Vegas, mainly because they have full WiFi all over the casino floor and more. They have a great sports book area, great flat screen TV's, where one can watch games and horse racing and place bets in a comfortable way. A coffee shop, named Java will offer also great WiFi for the one in need to work more online, similar with any Starbucks or alike establishments. They deserve a visit as it is worth it overall.

Previous years I'd say the Orleans is a solid consistent 3.5 but it seems they have done a lot of room renovations and it deserves a 4. The food hasn't been great in the past but with the opening of Alder and Birch steakhouse it looks like the Orleans is tapping into a more upscale market. New carpet and wallpaper in the hallways. Air filtering system seems to be working better. Great air conditioning in the room. Casino is clean and well organized. Staff is friendly and attentive. For an off-strip casino it brings a lot of value. The front parking lot can be sketchy at night. Last night there were three prostitutes loitering at the edge of the parking lot.

Let me start by stating The Orleans is a beautiful place that has a lot to offer a person - if you're not breast-feeding. I had to stay at The Orleans for a conference over the course of three days and as a breast-feeding mother, I have to pump and store the milk. There are no refrigerators in the rooms, and when I asked for one they told me I had to pay a small fee. This is outrageous to me. It is a medical necessity for a breast-feeding mother. When I asked for the fee to be waived for medical reason, the woman on the phone hung up. It was very upsetting to not have my needs and expectations met. There should be a way for them to waive the fee if a refrigerator is needed for medical necessity, and the staff should not be rude to guests when they try to explain their situation. There was more than one occasion the staff was unbecoming. I am not satisfied with my stay whatsoever.

Third time staying at the Orleans, this time it was a weeks vacation for my finance's 30th Birthday. Easily one of my favourite hotels in Vegas! It's known as a "locals" casino and is a little slower paced than on the strip. Its off the strip with a shuttle bus running regularly. It also means gambling minimums aren't quite as high with many table bets starting with a $5 minimum. Within the casino there are many bars and restaurants, TGI Fridays, Sbarro, Fuddruckers, Basking & Robbins as well as Subway are to name but a few. Great casino, great facilities, great staff and atmosphere. We always stay here and will be back for sure!!!

The Orleans Hotel & Casino is a great value. It's a few blocks west of I-15 on Tropicana Ave. There's a shuttle to the Strip that runs late for convenience. There are a lot of food choices available in the casino and some are open 24 hours a day. The staff treated us well. There's an on site movie theater that's quite nice. The hotel decor, including halls and rooms is a bit dated but clean and maintained. We stayed here over the weekend of the Billboard Awards and it provided an affordable alternative to the Strip.
