We got stranded in below freezing weather with our children! Parking was full and we were given a flyer with an address on it to catch a shuttle saying shuttle were running until 1030pm. It was the wrong address. After finding the correct location we were taken by shuttle to the garden. Our group of 7 spent $150 on admission and ice skating then went to wait at the shuttle stop at 930 only to find out there was no shuttle and a group a large group of other stranded patrons. We waited for 1 hr in 29° weather with small children until a maintenance man from the hotel gave my husband a ride back to our car.

Because they preserve and create a beautiful garden. Each season is so different. I like it views of the valley too.

Well kept grounds with beautiful flora. The grounds are spacious with lots of hiking choices. The Frank Lloyd Wright house is here and I did not pay for the tour but I did enjoy walking around the outside of the house. It was a weekday and virtually deserted which I prefer - the parking eludes to busy weekends and lots of local events.

The place is beautiful and absolutely amazing. But the staff was a complete disgrace to what is supposed to be a representation to a family event. They were demaning, cast aside caution to the wind, inconsiderate to the innocencey of children and families with their choice of horrific choice of music. The staff completely lied and overcharged us. They would not honor their prices listed on their website, and when confronted about it they said well we have it listed as $15 on our sign. Is this not a modern day scam to steal money from families that drive a long distance to enjoy an evening together? Let's deceive families and give them false advertisement and have them drive out here once they get here we over charge them. The staff were nothing more than adolescent children hopped on drugs with no respect for anyone else's wishes or requests. In the case of the staff, the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing. We could never get a consistent explanation from the staff in regards to anything either an event or funds. I asked the person at the entrance booth where the inner tubing was at, she responded with a, "I don't believe there is any inner tubing, there is only ice skating"... The inner tubing was no more than a thousand feet away from where she was sitting!!!

Went to see the lights at Christmas in the garden and it was great! What an experience! I was a little apprehensive of the weather bringing my 10 mo old in the evening but he touched it out and enjoyed every light. There were plenty of encounters to entertain families of all shapes and sizes. We will be coming again and will possibly make a tradition of it.

Very excited to take the family for the Christmas lights. 1st- I was shocked at the conditions of the path due to recent weather, sheets of ice! We expected the cold/snow and dressed for the occasion but they definitely need to figure out how to sand or something to avoid injuries. I saw so many people falling, one lady was pretty sure she broke her wrist and her husband was trying to figure out how to get her to their car. The sheet of ice walking paths weren't what made us decide to leave... it was an awfully rude shuttle driver! We were up near candy cane lane when the crowd of people noticed a shuttle trying to get through ( why they have a shuttle driving through a very populated walking area in the dark??) Everyone nicely moved to one side of the road to be out of her way. Well apparently we moved to the wrong side!! She rolled down her window and angerly yelled "hey, how about you people move to the other side of the road, I'm trying to get through here!! I was shocked as well as many others, we all thought we were out of her way. Apparently not and she needs to learn some manners! Went to try and find someone to speak to about it as we decided to leave, couldn't find anyone that knew anything and was told to call a manager (I will be) Extremely disappointed in the entire experience and it wasn't cheap. $70 for my family to enjoy a little over an hour of that.

It was a beautiful place to spend my birthday. The gardens are a joy to visit. Everyone we had dealings with were courteous and helpful.

Went to the Christmas lights. While the lights are nice, the whole experience was diminished by ; lack of lighting in the parking area, and the gardens itself. No provision for moving customers that had purchased tickets on line, thru quicker. Definite lack of employees, providing information and guidance. Those employees we encountered were harassed and irritable. Overall not well thought out.
