The Second Street house is being moved to a half-acre lot next to the church property, a journey of several dozen feet. 
Jacked up and resting on timbers and steel beams, its two front porches removed, a 19th-century Watkinsville house that might have been dismantled and sold piecemeal is instead ready for the short move to its new home, according to James Carter, the local historic preservationist who purchased the structure in May.

The list of charges are long. The suspect was charged with possession of methamphetamine, felony attempting to elude, obstruction, DUI, possession of drug-related objects, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving and several other traffic violations. The suspect's wife was charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug-related objects. The story of why this happened, here:

Terrible news coming out of Florida this morning. 
A shooting at a Florida nightclub early Monday morning killed two people and wounded as many as 17, police said. The attack apparently occurred at a teen party, billed as a "Swimsuit Glow Party," at Club Blu in Fort Myers, according to local media.

Someone went into Bear Hallow Zoo at night, broke out windows, cut locks, scrawled graffiti and damaged fencing. One owl may die because of it.

After stealing $14,000 from the Publix he worked for, Brandon Lee Smith had to pay a $26,000 bond 
A Jackson County man who worked at the Publix supermarket in the Barrow County community of Bethlehem is charged with stealing almost $14,000 from the over the past seven months, according to a Barrow County Sheriff's Office report.
