Use the mirrors, guys!!
It's just pasting this ubuntu 12.04 iso mirror into google's search bar!!
But why did the site crash? Aren't they using ubuntu server to host their site? I don't remember Microsoft saying that their servers are down because there were too many downloads... I'll definitely be using 12.04 nonetheless! :-)
their release page is ok... but the main page is down :(
Upgrading at ~ 180 KB/s, 2 hrs to Go :(
Loveing this release so far. Finally found an LTS worth sticking with. Best since 10.10.
I love the changes to the aesthetic. I'm sure I'll be running it later today!
Site is down again. Looks like we'll need to take turns. I'll go first.
Man the server is unable to serve the best bandwidth... It serves at 30KB/s :'(
gonna wait few hours for fast dl and clean install.. I will miss my perfect 10.10 Maverick... :(

It makes toast and chicken, and I'm done downloading so someone else can take their turn now.
So much ass is beeing kicked with this new release!
Go to hell mother fuck!!!!! and No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a HUGE problem.

When I start the installer and tell him to install Precise beside Win7, the system just reboots. It shuts down normally, it does not crash or something.

Can anybody help me, please? :(
+Tom Kersting you mean a wubi install? Hmm, i've not tried one of them since 11.04 I don't know how well they are maintaining it (if at all)

Edit: if you want a normal installation, then set your computer to boot from the cd in your bios and then reboot with the cd in. You will then boot into the live cd where you can install alongside windows 7 (dual boot) or wipe windows and do a full install of 12.04
No, I'm using a flash drive and I've also tried installing it from a CD.

It just reboots...

Edit: Yeah, I did that. I told him to install it alongside Win7, but the system reboots when I klick continue :(
It maybe the boot order in your bios, It may be reading the hard drive (windows) before the CD/USB and thus just boots to the hard drive.
It boots to the USB/CD. I can also use Ubuntu from the flash drive. But it reboots, when I tell the installer to install it beside Win7. The boot order is not the problem. The problem is that it reboots before the installation...
so you boot to the live CD/USB and everything seems fine till you double click the install icon on the desktop and before the installation wizard begins you get an auto reboot?
The wizard also starts. But when it asks me whether I want to install Ubuntu beside Win7 or only Ubuntu and I click continue, it auto restarts
You're not using Wubi, are ya? Understand it has problems...
Wow my update manager finally showed me the upgrade to 'Ubuntu 12.04 LTS' but it's night over here so I'll update tomorrow!
This is the one where they dropped KDE? Time to switch distros.
I am pretty sure they released kubuntu 12.04.
Ooh, did they throw out Unity? (checks) No. I'll pass.
Ubuntu = Swahili for "shitting in your water supply for 5000 years."
