To Laurie Miller Brotman, family is everything. She’s a wife to her husband, Andrew, and a mother to her son, Henry. And at NYU Langone, as director of the Center for Early Childhood Health and Development, Laurie works closely with inner-city families to help give them tools they need to ensure the healthy development of their children. She’s part of the mosaic of families that make up New York City, and she’s making a huge impact on it. Laurie Miller Brotman is #MadeforNewYork. Watch to find out more: http://bit.ly/1NignQ1

Today, the +American Heart Association is offering free hands-only CPR training in Times Square, during National CPR and AED Awareness Week! For 12 hours, members of the AHA will teach thousands of New Yorkers this live-saving technique, and NYU Langone experts are proud to be participating. You can easily learn hands-only CPR for use on teens and adults by following two simple steps: If you see a teen or an adult collapse, first call 911. Then, push hard and fast in the center of the person’s chest at a rate of at least 100 times per minute.
