Gentlemen, Cosmetic Surgery IS For You, Too! (

There used to be a prevailing myth that #cosmetic #surgery is only for women. We're here to bust that myth today.

Many men still seem embarrassed about learning about their options when it comes to revealing the figure they've always wanted. Liposuction is more popular than ever among Roseville male patients. Statistics from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery show that male cosmetic procedures have climbed by 325 percent since 1997.

At NorCal Liposculpture, we know that men want to look and feel good about their bodies as much as women do. With summer coming, now is the perfect time to lose the 'Dad Bod' for good. How to Set The Pace on The Treadmill (

For many people, the thought of running on a #treadmill is not always an appealing one. For those who run frequently, the dreaded treadmill takes a lot of the fun out of pounding the pavement or the trail.

We understand that the prospect of basically running on the spot for an hour is no fun. Afterall, a big appeal of running is getting outside and breathing in fresh air. However, even the most avid of outdoors runners have to jump onto the treadmill from time to time.

So, if you do have to use a treadmill how can you make it your friend?

The site Well & Good spoke to runner Rebecca Kennedy about how she used the treadmill to train for her most recent half marathon. Here is her advice on how to make running on a treadmill enjoyable:

"If you approach the treadmill with a negative attitude, you're setting yourself up for a negative experience," Kennedy says. "Clear the slate for a second and figure out why you're there. Then, take the name out of it: It's not treadmill running, it's just running."

The Lazy Person's Guide to Making Healthy Dinners (

After a long day at #work, it can be really tempting to grab a quick take-out meal instead of spending time in the kitchen to create a healthier option. Weeknight dinners can be tough, especially when you trying to eat a healthy diet and lose weight.

If you dread having to come up with a healthy meal each night, you are not alone. In fact, the folks at Health have put together an article on this topic, which seeks to provide weeknight dinner inspiration for even the most reluctant of cooks.

While many people are touting the benefits of meal prepping, this can actually be a bit overwhelming for some. If you don't want to spend your Sunday's making meals ahead of time then, fortunately, there are other tricks to eating healthy during the week.

For example, if you find that you regularly cook too much food to eat in one sitting, this could be a blessing in disguise:

_ Whenever you can, double a recipe and freeze half. Freezer meals can save you after a busy day since all you have to do is pop it into the microwave or a pot on the stove._

Sounds good right?

The Reason Women Store Fat in Their Thighs (

It is the age-old question that many #women ask "do my thighs look big in this dress?" If you hate your legs in the mirror, then you are not alone.

Many women will attest to the fact that for some unknown reason fat still seems to accumulate on their thighs.

So, why is it that fat gets stored in certain parts of the body such as the upper thighs?

Some women are more genetically predisposed to storing fat in the thighs and buttocks. In fact, for some women, it doesn't matter how strict their diet is or how much they exercise the unwanted fat will remain.

This might sound like we are painting a bleak picture. However, there is a way to rock skinny jeans with confidence.

The answer for many has been found through cosmetic surgery.

In fact, an article on New Beauty recommends ultrasound assisted liposuction such as VASERlipo for slim thighs:

The only way to specifically target fat removal is through some type of procedure designed to destroy and/or remove the fat cells from the thighs such as liposuction. This technique has been improved and refined over the past 30 years, including the introduction of laser and ultrasound technologies.

Are You Staying Hydrated Enough After a Workout? (

Did you know that drinking enough #water each day is an integral part of our overall health and body function? Not to mention that staying hydrated it is an important component that can aid in weight loss when combined with a healthy diet and exercise.

Have you ever considered just how much water you should be drinking after exercise? It seems like the "recommended" amounts change with the seasons!

Many people still abide by the old rule that you need to drink at least eight-ounce glasses of water per day to be adequately hydrated. Of course, if you are working out each day your H2O intake will presumably need to be higher to compensate for the lost water you have sweat out of your body.

So how much water do you need to drink after a high-intensity workout?

The folks at Well & Good were also curious to find out just how much water a person should be drinking each day for optimum health. According to Dr. Dana Cohen aside from drinking water regularly throughout the day here is a general guideline to follow:

A good base goal (whether you're working out or not) is to divide your body weight in half and drink that number of ounces of water every 24 hours.

Avoid This Habit if You Want to Get That Summer Body (

How is it almost nearly #summer? It seems like we were just bundled up outside trying to avoid the rain and cold winter weather.

We understand if you've been unable to fully achieve your 2018 resolution of dropping a few pounds before summer. If you are serious about keeping off those extra pounds then there are several ways that you can. One of them is to avoid those late night snacks before you head to bed.

Yes, those cookies look delicious. But you'll be thanking yourself if you hold off!

Eating after 11 pm at night could be the reason behind those stubborn pounds that just won't budge. New Beauty reported on the results of this new study and what they mean for weight loss:

As reported on by Shape, a new study conducted by researchers at University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine shows that "compared to eating earlier in the day, prolonged delayed eating can increase weight, insulin and cholesterol levels, and negatively affect fat metabolism and hormonal markers implicated in heart disease, diabetes and other health problems."

Is a High Fat Diet Healthy? (

Weight loss #diet #trends have come and gone over the years. You might recall the time when everyone was steering clear of high-fat foods and a range of low-fat products hit the supermarket shelves. Well, times are a-changin' with many people now adopting a high-fat diet in order to lose weight.

So, is filling your meals with fat actually good for your health in the long run?

The folks at MindBodyGreen compiled an article that investigates the potential health impacts of a diet high in animals fats. The human body needs a percentage of healthy fats to maintain optimum health and this is why low-fat diets are not good for the body. However eating high amounts of fat can lead to health problems such as blood clots, artery damage, and even heart attacks.

A study conducted by the Medical College of Georgia found that consuming high amounts of animal fats can actually change the red blood cells in the human body. Here's a clip from the article we linked to above:

Only the fatty meal caused negative changes in the arteries, blood levels of MPO to skyrocket, and red blood cells to change shape from round discs to a spiky appearance more likely to clump and clot.

The results of this study sure do give food for thought about high-fat diets.
