I was lucky enough to teach two fantastic workshops in the last month. Last week's 3-day workshop was with a great group of photographers and we focused on lighting, posing, expressiveness, business, marketing & more. I'm taking a break from teaching private workshops for a few months (to build up more energy, hah), but we are just NOW opening registration for my next workshop, which will be SEPTEMBER 19TH-21ST. You can learn more, and register, here: https://tamaralackey.com/3-day-portrait-photographers-workshop

Here are just a few images from the workshop, each shot with different lighting sources: constant lights, +Profoto B2 strobes, and reflectors.
Looking forward to stepping through tons more lovely ones (we really have such great models), and I will share some from our Advanced 5-day Workshop very soon!

All portraits shot with +Nikon USA D810 or D5 and, from L to R, 105mm 1.4 lens, 85mm 1.4 lens, and 24-70mm 2.8 lens.

Andrew captured this with a Nikon D4s working as a remote camera and triggered via the WR-1 remote on top of a handheld D4s. Deborah's goal for this picture was to create something more than the scene offered. "I wanted to convey the wind turbines in motion so people could get closer to experiencing what was happening. The turbines have three blades—a single shot would freeze their movement and lose the energy of their rhythmic rotation. A long exposure would blur the blades into oblivion; they wouldn't have any definition. So I thought, Okay, let's see what happens when I do a multiple-exposure sequence." Check out this Learn & Explore article on the multiple exposure technique with the Nikon D500: http://bit.ly/2lSRClX
