Believe it or not, it was three years ago this week that our Catamarans were delivered and taken into the Gorge for assembly.

This incredible feat was caught on film by Discovery Channel and you can see it for yourself here! #ThrowbackThursday http://social.niagaracruises.com/w2kp

Wanted to check off something off my bucket list. Had to figure out how this worked and did some internet search. Finally found out that Hornblower was on the Canadian side we found the place where we can get out tickets. Parking is a little difficult as there isn't a lot right where you can buy your ticket and get on the boat. We parked downtown by the ferries wheel and walked down. It cost 10 dollars for the whole day which was pretty cheap. Anyways we got our tickets and headed down. Once you get by the boat you are given a poncho and is definitely needed. The boat goes to both of the falls and you will get wet so wear your poncho. If you stay on the bottom of the boat you will have more protection from the water. Definitely a great spot to stand. Overall the experience was amazing and worth the $18 Canadian dollar. You don't want to miss this ride and just make sure you protect your phones.

Pretty slick operation. Queues move really quick. Lots of staff around the place to ask for help if you need it. Boat leaves every 15 minutes and lasts about 25 minutes. $19:95CAD for an adult and ticket is valid for 3 days. You can't really come to Niagara and not see the falls this way. Well worth it.

The whole experience starts with a hilariously long walk, designed to hold a large number of people. But the end is worth it. The boat itself is powered by massive diesel engines, and you will find out why. Niagara throws a lot of water, and you will get soaked. But it is very fun. I recommend.

Can't beat the Hornblower for a fun time and quite the adventure! There is no better way to experience the falls! Get ready to be soaked by the mist (you are provided with a rain poncho)! The price for this is very fair. If you choose to do this, you won't regret it. Just be careful with your cell phone if you take it with. If you have a GoPro with a waterproof case, it would be perfect for this.

If the US side have Maid of the Mist, then this should be called "Maid of the Damp" because you will surely be soaking wet if you chose to ride on the upper deck of the boat (which I did twice as it is the best way to experience the falls!). You can stay at the lower deck as well and hide behind the enclosure if things get really wet, but if that's your plan then go save yourself some money and just walk along the strip and get close to the horseshoe falls by foot. A very fun and memorable experience for the entire family. The queue to get into the ride can be a bit long sometimes (so avoid weekends if you can) but it is worth-it anyways. For about 20 bucks, this is "One for the books" experience for sure! Will do this again when my daughter is a bit older.

Very cool perspective on the falls. Definitely worth the $20 cost of admission. We stayed on the lower deck so we could pop back inside if it started getting really wet on the outer deck, and it certainly did!

Trip was long enough for me and my husband to visit the whole boat AND meet Dean, the capitain. He was a bit in a rush but made sure we had a good time aboard. These kind of gentleman can only exist in Canada nowaday. I wonder if Dean remember me, maybe I should give him a call. We could have one or two of these awsome lobster roll on the docks....Dean <3
