Brian Hanson, P.E., of the Alaska State Board of Registration for Architects, Engineers, and Land Surveyors, has been elected Western Zone Vice President.

Chun Lau, P.E., S.E., of the Washington State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, has been elected Western Zone Assistant Vice President.

Pat Tami, P.S, of the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists, has been nominated President-elect.

Did you know that NCEES has agreements with 10 foreign entities to administer its licensing exams in other countries? NCEES offers exams in Taiwan through an agreement with the Chinese Institute of Engineers. The Egyptian Engineering Syndicate petitioned NCEES to allow the FE exam to be offered to graduates of all Egyptian engineering programs to assist in assessing the quality of engineering education in Egypt. Introduction
NCEES (the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing professional licensure for engineers and surveyors. It develops, administers, and scores the examinations used for engineering and surveying licensure in the United States. It also facilitates professional mobility and promotes uniformity of the U.S. licensure processes through services for its member licensing boards and licensees. These services include the records program, study materials, credentials evaluations, exam administration, and more.
