Here’s an album of pictures from the DiscoverE Family Day event on Saturday. We sponsored two hands-on activities to get kids excited about #engineering   and #surveying .  At the Flinker activity, children and parents got a fun, and sometimes wet, lesson in buoyancy. The X Marks the Spot activity was also a big hit. Donning NCEES hardhats and safety vests, children learned about pacing, measurement, and direction.

More engineers and surveyors are professionally licensed in California than any other state. As a matter of fact, there are almost twice as many P.E.s in California than the next state on the list, Texas. Do you know how many licensed engineers and surveyors there are in your state? Find out in the inaugural issue of NCEES Squared, the official NCEES source for #engineering and #surveying licensure statistics.

Advancing licensure for engineers and surveyors.
Introduction
NCEES (the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing professional licensure for engineers and surveyors. It develops, administers, and scores the examinations used for engineering and surveying licensure in the United States. It also facilitates professional mobility and promotes uniformity of the U.S. licensure processes through services for its member licensing boards and licensees. These services include the records program, study materials, credentials evaluations, exam administration, and more.
