"Trump’s address was successful in expressing nationalist values but not in setting forth a plan...that would actually serve the nation."

100% agree, America first. I give you this example for those who disagree. When you take a trip by plane, and the flight attendants give their safety briefing. They tell people to put their air/oxygen mask on first before putting it on their kids or other love ones. In a nut shell, if you don't take care of yourself (country) first you will be unable to help others

"Democrats believe...Russia actually manipulated ballot totals — an allegation for which there is not a shred of proof."
Democrats boycotting the inauguration are wrong: Trump may be unsuited to the job, but he was legitimately elected.

A quick but phony win on health care isn't good enough. A real win is worth the time and effort.
Republicans should not settle for a phony win.

"Because the masculine pronouns 'have served as a cornerstone of the patriarchy.'"
The divinity schools at Duke and Vanderbilt Universities have instructed their professors to start using more “inclusive” language when referring to God because the masculine pronouns “have served as a cornerstone of the patriarchy.” For example: This year’s divinity course catalogue at Vanderbilt tells professors to give “consistent attention to the use of inclusive language, especially in relation to the Divine,” because the school “commits co...

"Historians will have a great deal to say about Obama’s presidency, and we expect their judgment to be severe."
Obama’s farewell address was like his presidency: preening, self-loving, and lacking in substance.
