Restrict Public Wi-Fi: If your business offers Wi-Fi, the Wi-Fi should not be on the same router or modem as the internal network to which the business computers and data connect. Where this cannot occur and/or the Wi-Fi exists on the same router and modem, ensure that the Wi-Fi network is separate from the business's internal network.

Ransomware attacks are targeting organizations around the world today, with more than 75,000 attacks in 99 countries. The ransomware, called "WannaCry," locks down all the files on an infected computer and the user has to pay in order to regain control. The ransomware took advantage of a Windows vulnerability that Microsoft released a security patch for in March, but computers that haven't updated their systems are at risk.

A new study finds that parents and children have #privacy concerns about internet-connected toys. Toys like Hello Barbie and CogniToys Dino record the voices of children who interact with them and then store those recordings in the cloud. Researchers from University of Washington found most kids participating in the study did not know the toys were recording their conversations.
