Happy Birthday Shraddha Kapoor !

She is gorgeous and knows the "ABCD" of acting. She is the "Dance Basanti" we have "lov-ed" and have fallen in Aashiqui with. Her voice is so mesmerising that there cannot be our "Luv Ka The End".

Here's wishing her success, health and happiness!

Facebook asks users to 'save' Free Basics (formerly known as internet.org) - It's a trap, do not fall for it!

Taking a cue from savetheinternet.in's ‪#‎NetNeutrality‬ campaign, Facebook is asking users to support Free Basics by sending a mail to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

Counting on the fact that it is our second nature to like any picture or debate trending on Facebook without knowing the complete facts or just because many of our friends or relatives have done so (also called the herd mentality) and to opt for anything that says 'free', Facebook has launched its 'Save Free Basics' campaign.

In a country with internet penetration as low as 18%, the campaign is to push its internet.org program that offers a limited set of websites and applications free of charge to users. If it is effectuated, only Facebook's preferred partners will get a directed flow of traffic while others that do not sign up will miss out on India's 1 billion users.

It is now on the user to understand that supporting Free Basics is standing against Net Neutrality. Understand that clicking on the Send Email button is showing support for Digital Equality, which sounds like a good term for free as in free of charge, hinders the basic aspect of freedom, of choice, that many more want to defend with all might!
Recently, Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, criticised Facebook's internet.org/Free Basics for violating the principles of Net Neutrality.

Therefore, we urge users to first understand Free Basics and then take a decision.
