At least 25 people are being hosed down by Hazmat officials responding to a medical emergency involving chlorine gas at Michigan's Adventure.

A witness, who was in the lazy river at the time of the incident, said she "got a splash of chlorine" and started coughing while finding it difficult to breath. Other witnesses reported burning lips.

They've started performing random acts of kindness on Nash's birthdate each month — the 9th — from his six-month birthday until his one-year and possibly beyond, and they're hoping others will join them.

This is adorable: Kindergarten graduates at Burton Glen Charter Academy got dressed up for their dream jobs.

Ray Randall, 6, of Flint wants to be a firefighter when he grows up. Why? "Because they fight fires and save people's lives and I can get paid," he said. "If it's fire, I'm fighting it."

Court documents filed by Child Protective Services allege serious abuse, including beatings with a PVC pipe and forced workouts, imposed by the father of 12-year-old Charlie Bothuell V, a Detroit boy reported missing and later discovered hidden in his father's basement.

The boy's father, Charlie Bothuell IV, reported his son missing June 14. He was found barricaded behind boxes and a storage drum in the basement of his father's townhouse June 25. CPS is now trying to terminate Bothuell's parental rights.

Just hours before the funeral of soccer referee John Bieniewicz, his accused attacker officially was arraigned on charges of second-degree murder.

Bassel Saad originally had been charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm, but those charges were elevated Wednesday to second-degree murder after Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy reviewed the case.

A man is dead and a woman is critically injured after a wrong-way crash last night on eastbound I-96 near Coopersville.

A Nunica woman was driving a Chevy Trailblazer west on eastbound I-96 when her vehicle struck a Chrysler Town and Country near mile marker 22. The van's driver died at the scene.

Wolverine Human Services formally applied with the federal government to be a sub-contractor to house Central American teens in Michigan, says U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee.

The plan by Wolverine's Pioneer Work and Learn Center in Vassar includes housing male youths 12 to 17 primarily from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador who have crossed into the United States without their parents, said Wolverine's Senior Vice President Derrick McCree.

Between 10 and 15 homeless people in Ann Arbor had their belongings destroyed when an MDOT bulldozer came through the area this morning.

Five campsites on MDOT land were removed after department officials gave inhabitants of the tents set up there notice to move two weeks ago. Ann Arbor police then gave those in the area 48 hours notice before their belongings would be removed.
