So, what is the next #danishdesign  from #upcomingbrands  - +Architonic talked about  #thenewdanish  at a symposium in #copenhagen  earlier this month. We can't judge who will be the hit or not, but the new #shelvingsystem  and #mirrors  from #danishbrand  Novel Cabinet Makers could be someone to watch! #hotoffthepress   #design   #scandinaviandesign   #nordicdesign   #designblog   #designblogger   #contentcurator   #allgoodthingsdanish
New Danish design brand, Novel Cabinet Makers. They call themselves “Part artists, part businessmen” and the two owners, Anders Busk Faarborg and Lars Rolf Jacobsen (based in San Francisco, have launched a shelving system and a mirror collection - all products are easy to assemble without any tools. Made of wood and metal. See the full collection on their website. Spotted by missdesignsays. Content Curator #allgoodthingsdanish

The new #bigmaze by BIG Architects and Bjarke Ingels at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. The large-scale maze is 18 feet high and measuring 61 feet by 61 feet made of Baltic birch plywood.  Inspired by ancient labyrinths, garden and hedge mazes of 17th and 18th-century Europe, and modern American corn mazes, this contemporary maze is located in the West Court of the Museum’s historic Great Hall.

Copenhell 2014 was the 5th outdoor metal festival held in Copenhagen. People go there to listen to more than 30 heavy metal bands from all around the world. I go there to see the production design around the former B&W shipyard. Copenhell is situated in the heart of Copenhagen, yet on its own on Refshaleøen - less than 10 minutes away on a bike, making it the only European metal festival to take place in the centre of a major city.   Here at t...

How does your local library look? This is #biblioteketpårentemestervej  in Copenhagen's north-west. Architects: Cobe and Transform. A great refurbished building. See it now on the blog! #allgoodthingsdanish   #architecture   #libraries   #danishdesign   #scandinaviandesign   #nordicdesign   #archilover   #designblog   #designblogger   #contentcurator   #designmedia   #copenhagen   #denmark   #scandiniavia
One of my favorite public buildings in the north-west part of Copenhagen, Denmark is the Library at Rentemestervej. The cultural building by architects COBE and Transform looks like as a stack of books. The golden building has won several awards (e.g. Best Refurbished Building) and is both a library, a community center and an urban space uniting the neighborhood. The building consists of 4 golden boxes with perforated aluminum displaced in propo...

Enjoying a good cup of tea is one of life's most simple pleasures, but the whole experience gets even more exquisite if we prepare it with something as beautiful as FEM's Koruku tea set. The design b

One of the new hotels in Copenhagen, Hotel SP34, is a great design experience. It is a 4+ boutique hotel situated in Copenhagen’s old Latin Quarter, Sankt Peders Stræde, just 100 meters from the Town Hall Square and the pedestrian street, Strøget. It used to be Hotel Fox, known for it’s artistic individual and ‘crazy’ rooms for the young generation, but is now a truly modern boutique hotel with 118 rooms, conference centre, private cinema, roofto...
