This Dorchester, MA teacher entered a #wishforothers campaign, asking for books for each of her students, and won that plus $150,000 - all of which she donated to her school. She completely embodies the #sharethelove spirit, and we're amazed at her selflessness! Thanks for the story, The Boston Globe!

MetroWest Subaru Employee Spotlight: Meet Sam Mayer, a member of our awesome sales team! Sam has been selling cars for 16 years! His favorite thing about MetroWest is that his customers have had such good experiences here, he's been able to sell them repeat cars years later when they happily return. What a testimonial!

I bought my 2015 WRX STI from here. Sam Mayer was my salesman and he did a great job, was easy to work with, and knowledgeable. I may have pushed him and the team pretty hard on the price, but they came back with an excellent deal. I would recommend them highly.
Response from the owner - a month ago
Thank you for your feedback, David! We appreciate your recommendation, and are thrilled you are so happy with your car and with Sam!

My purchasing experience at Metrowest Subaru was quite the experience (in a good way!)! I began working with Nick about a month before the sale, checking out the Forester and its features. After viewing it twice, I set up for an overnight test run. Nick was going on vacation and set me up with Jeff. Jeff had everything ready for us when we arrived to pick up the car, and was able to answer our questions easily. We went back a few days later to do the actual buying. Jeff's appointment had run longer than anticipated, and we did our actual negotiating with VJ. After we both made our opening offers, VJ offered us a price that was well within the range I wanted, and offered me a very fair price on my trade in. Working directly with management on this part of the process accelerated negotiations, and kept stress levels at a minimum (I can't say the same for other dealerships of other brands). While VJ was entering the sale data, Josh stepped right in to prepare our paperwork. He had the paperwork completed quickly, and we returned two days later (it was a Saturday) to begin the financial work. We sat with Michael, who put us right at ease and got us through the paperwork process quickly. We had no difficulty financing with Subaru, and he met our price expectations on extended warranty and service planning. Finally, it was time to pick up the car. Josh was assisting us with the registration, and went over the features and controls in the vehicle. I left feeling confident both about the buying process, as well as bringing my new Forester there for service. I never felt pressured or unfairly treated, and would happily recommend Metrowest Subaru to anybody who would like to experience car buying from a customer-first dealership!

We recently purchased a new Forester from Subaru Metrowest and couldn't be happier with the experience. Our salesman Marc Soloway was super friendly, knowledgable, and upfront. Having test driven our friend's Forester, we knew exactly what we wanted heading in. We had quoted from Marc over the internet about the exact trim and add-ons we wanted, and when we arrived at the dealership, Marc greeted us with curtesy and had our price quotes in his hand, talk about being professional and organized! He had us test drive the car again (on a snowy day too, so it was a good day to test the AWD system). When we sat down to talk about the purchase, Marc was very patient and worked with us closely throughout the entire process. The finance manager Mike was very helpful too and made the financing process easy for us. We will definitely come back for all our services and we have recommended Subaru Metrowest to all our friends who are interested in buying or leasing Subarus!

I have to say this about MetroWest Subaru - I could not have been happier to do business with them. I purchased a slightly used (under 10,000 miles on the car) from them a month ago, and everything has been nothing short of my greatest expectations. Upon my arrival in the parking lot, Sam (salesman) was outside, and he came right over, introduced himself, and cracked a couple of jokes to try to ease some of the tension. I had gone twice earlier that week to look at the car I was interested in, and when I went on that Sunday, I was able to take the vehicle on a test drive that day with a couple of family members and Sam. What made the test drive better was that it was snowing, so I got to see how the all-wheel drive (AWD) worked its magic in the snow (not that I didn’t know, seeing as this is my second Subaru). As usual, flawless performance, and it was a comfortable, quiet car. Upon coming back to the dealership, I sat down to talk price with Sam. Being that it was a used car, they were very reluctant to come down on the price. However, in my research, I found that the car was already more than $2000 under Blue Book value. After some chatting back and forth, where Sam was very patient, relaxed, and put no pressure on me, I bought the car. In the process, Sam had some good conversations with my family and I, and was very pleasant to deal with. MetroWest even covered the cost of a remote starter as a concession during negotiations, which sealed the deal. Meeting with the finance manager, Mike, was a very pleasant and positive experience. In getting financing, the bank claimed they didn’t receive a piece of information which I had provided to Mike. In speaking with the bank, and then speaking with Mike via e-mail, he took care of it in less than 24 hours. Mike also took the time to explain everything, all that was covered with the loan, and provided me with a copy of all of the paperwork. He was no-pressure, and even stayed after his normal hours to make sure I was taken care of. Fast forward a month. Sam even e-mailed me to check in and make sure everything was to my satisfaction with my purchase. Not only have I witnessed top notch customer service, I have witnessed some of the most pleasant people out there. They don’t need to pressure you into selling something that practically sells itself. My first Subaru went nearly 200k miles and still runs like a top today, and this new Subaru will likely do the same. Reliability and safety show within the car, and it is made solidly (and assembled in the USA [Indiana], which is more than some other automakers can say!). I cannot ask for more than MetroWest provided me in my experience with them. I’ll definitely be going back for service, as I have not seen a more comfortable waiting room (leather chairs, massage chairs, and the usual free coffee, tea, and water). MetroWest, thank you for putting the customer first! You’ve gained a customer away from other Subaru dealers in the area! No pressure, polite, easy to deal with? Absolutely. My highest regards for Sam and Mike, who did a fantastic job on the sales and finance parts respectively. Thank you both!

I just purchased a new 2015 Subaru WRX from my sales guy Josh Geller. This was a great car shopping experience at a very family business oriented type environment. Still organized and professional. Just to give you a perspective and background, between now and 2009, I have purchased and leased a total of 7 cars including my new Subaru, 3 Hondas, 2 VW and 1 Nissan vehicle. I walk in to MetroWest Subaru and I meet Josh. I tell him I really like the WRX and I am interested in leasing the vehicle. Josh right from the get go is friendly, laid back and no pressure type of guy. He showed me what cars he has on the lot and we realized the car I want was not at the dealership yet but was in transit. He gave me numbers on the car before I left the dealership that day on the car which was in transit to the dealer. He did not pressure to collect a deposit from me on a car that wasn't even there yet. Although given the supply and demand on the WRX type of vehicle with the trim and color of my choice and the fact that only one was coming in, it would have made sense to put a deposit on the car and guarantee it. I at the time did not know if I was going to or be able to purchase this car. There were variables in place such as purchase price, my current lease which had 4 payments on it and not knowing if leasing or purchasing was the right option for me. I did my homework and realized that Josh has provided me with a very competitive and aggressive (within the market) for the car I wanted. Josh and I kept in touch to see when the car would arrive and from the beginning he set timeline expectation pretty accurate. Once we new the car was in the country and he still was going to have only 1 car that was unique to my liking, we decided it was time to put a deposit on the car. From there on end, it was very easy to negotiate my financing decision and what I needed to with my trade. When you go in, feel free ask Josh.. It really all worked out perfect for my situation. Sales manager Jonathan Boske was too friendly and no pressure. Very matter of fact, here is my options lets figure out the best options that fit "me the consumer's needs" He truly only interacted to prove that we were heading in the right directions and the give guidance. Finally when I dealt with the finance manager Brian Hebert to sign off all the paperwork, he did not push any product on me either. He went over what was covered under manufacturers warranty. Because I was financing for an extended amount of time, he showed me two to three comprehensive (bumper to bumper) coverage options. The price was fair and given all the electronics and gadgets in the car, I wanted the piece of mind. (back up camera, all the fancy digital screen, sunroof, awd system, turbo, etc) After everything was complete, Josh introduced me to my new car and all the gadgets and unique things about the car that I was not familiar with. He walked me through the service department and introduced me to them and explained their process of oil changes, service and after hours drop off procedures. Thank you very much to you guys and I hope that this review shows your strengths to future car shoppers and at least allows them to come meet you. I am certain they also will be pleased. Kayhan

Just purchased a Subaru Forester from Marty Ross at MetroWest Subaru! Had a terrific experience. Not only did we get a great car but we received excellent service. We bought a used car that is in great shape and the people at MetroWest spent a great deal of time making sure the car was in excellent condition. Overall, the process was easy and low pressure!

Their service department tried to cheat my wife. They told her that she needed a new air conditioning compressor. I took the car to another shop and all they had to do was recharge the system. When I told the service manager about this all I got was a "Ho Hum."
Response from the owner - a month ago
Hi David, Thanks for your feedback. It is never our intention to cheat anyone - sometimes there are multiple solutions to a single problem. We have hired a new service manager since this time last year, when this happened, so hopefully next time he will be able to better explain to you our reasoning behind our recommendations. Thanks again for letting us know.

Great buying experience with a pre-owned car. They fixed one body issue before I took delivery and the results were great. First time I have dealt with a dealership in a long, long time but they made it a pleasant experience. Would recommend if you are looking for a Subaru product.
