I am a +Google fan, no doubt. I would like to embrace the +Google Play ecosystem full on, but I am unwilling to do so at this time. The reason is this: I cannot fully invest in digital book, movie, or TV library which does not take into account my current analog (or non-digital) media investments. +Google Music™ has accomplished this in a very good way, but the books, magazines, and movies sections have not. Google Music allows for a unique match and upload process with limits. Why not make similar proofs available for Play Books and Movies. I know you can upload Books if they are already in .pdf format, but scanning thousands of pages is certainly not user-friendly. The CD-ripping model validation process pioneered by the Google Music app should be the blueprint. Finally, there is no way I can begin a digital movie collection, while my 100+ DVD collection is left totally neglected. I think the match and upload process for movies would be even easier to accomplish with movies than books. 20,000 songs divided by 10 (songs per album) = approximately 2,000 albums. Google gives an upload limit of 2,000 movies, and boom I start buying digital movies from there on out. What does everyone think? Thanks for reading.

So I went to +Starbucks Coffee the other day and this is what came up when I went to the +Google homepage. It looks similar to the Google Now cards, and demonstrates the potential of bringing Google Now to the desktop. Is this just a coincidence? What do you think, cool?
