So I went to +Starbucks Coffee the other day and this is what came up when I went to the +Google homepage. It looks similar to the Google Now cards, and demonstrates the potential of bringing Google Now to the desktop. Is this just a coincidence? What do you think, cool?

I am a +Google fan, no doubt. I would like to embrace the +Google Play ecosystem full on, but I am unwilling to do so at this time. The reason is this: I cannot fully invest in digital book, movie, or TV library which does not take into account my current analog (or non-digital) media investments. +Google Music™ has accomplished this in a very good way, but the books, magazines, and movies sections have not. Google Music allows for a unique match and upload process with limits. Why not make similar proofs available for Play Books and Movies. I know you can upload Books if they are already in .pdf format, but scanning thousands of pages is certainly not user-friendly. The CD-ripping model validation process pioneered by the Google Music app should be the blueprint. Finally, there is no way I can begin a digital movie collection, while my 100+ DVD collection is left totally neglected. I think the match and upload process for movies would be even easier to accomplish with movies than books. 20,000 songs divided by 10 (songs per album) = approximately 2,000 albums. Google gives an upload limit of 2,000 movies, and boom I start buying digital movies from there on out. What does everyone think? Thanks for reading.

Hiro's had a relaxing environment, and very tasty sushi. I am not a sushi connoisseur, but I was delighted by a regular tuna roll, and a melted cheese covered roll I was able to share with friends. This is a sure-bet place to grab sushi with friends for lunch or dinner (can you do sushi for breakfast?). I am sure they have more to offer than I mentioned. The decor is fresh, and well-lit. I would go back.

Really fun and cool place. Music playlist is predominantly live sets, which creates a chill atmosphere. Tuesday night $2 drafts, is an absurd deal, and brings in a lot of people. It looked like there were good drink specials throughout the week as well. Jam band decor, pool table, and back room for dancing. I am definitely going back.

A fun place at a good location. The Holiday Club has a cool name, and a casual interior made for hanging out, drinking, and dancing. Advertised a Wed. night Karaoke, a Thurs. night house mix, a Fri. 80's night, and a Sat. 90's night. I experienced the 90's night, which brought in a diverse crowd, and a full dance floor. It is a fun place to meet friends, and be reminded of your once-odd love of Fred Durst.

Small nook in the wall bookstore in the Lakeview? neighborhood. I could tell this store has been in business for awhile, and is a part of the community. I imagine there are book-loving regulars that frequent the place often. The small size felt a little cramped, and there was not really any place to sit and read. Magazine selection was OK, not great. Book selection was vast and seemed to be curated nicely. The shelves felt a little cluttered, but they were organized. I would shop here again, but I wish it were a little more welcoming, shelves were touched up, and had a space to relax.

An authentic Italian restaurant with an emphasis on oven baked pizza. Very cool comfortable environment, plenty of space. Calamari was fresh (not fried) and surprisingly tasty. We ordered 5 pizzas for 6 people, and had plenty to take home. All the pizzas were flavorful sharing a pleasantly charred crust. But our favorite was a pesto pistachio and sausage special, very good. The staff was friendly, and got us a table even as they were closing. Good choice for a nice Italian dinner.
