Car problems? Mutant troubles? Ninja issues? They've got your back.

My computing has lacked a social component for some time. I am looking in to altering this configuration.

Latest theme song/video.

Wish I had even a fraction of the gravitas of Paula Shyers.

And the last thing I worked on at Honeywell (technically BendixKing, but really AlliedSignal, if you want to get super honest): solid state attitude indicator.

Been head down for a while, now - move, apartment, parental workload shifts, new job, new house, selling old house. Hoping to get back to "normal" in the near future. In that vein: random postings.

The fist thing I worked on at Honeywell nearly 15 years ago: Display software for the E-6B Mercury "TaCAMO".

At the time, I figured I was just doing my little part to further along thermonuclear annihilation.

Most of the stuff I worked on was support - cargo and tanker aircraft. I did have a short run working on the OH-58 Kiowa scout helicopter, but that was as close to a "fighting" machine as I got.

I liked the work, but I'm so glad to be working in general aviation stuff these days. I like being able to talk to people about the way they use a thing I worked on - something that was fantastically hard to do with most of my old work. Distance and security restrictions meant I mostly got to read truncated problem reports, without much opportunity for clarification.

Between being in college and being in New Mexico, I have not mowed a lawn in about 15 years. It took all of half a day of homeownership in Kansas to change that.

The workout with the push mower was great, but man... those riders are looking nice about now.

Best part: tomorrow our stuff gets delivered. Then my new team can be exposed to my full arsenal of nerdities.

With a scant 17 hours on the road, we became unofficial Kansanians. Woo.

Appropriately for our last trip to Flying Star, we got #42. The order that satisfies all appetites.

Convenient photo bomb location, to boot!
