Hi #CLMOOC friends,
Join in my new make--a Voxer chat!  This morning I've been investigating Voxer. It is a free walkie talkie app for your smartphone that allows you to communicate with voice messages, text messages and photos.

From what I read, it is a great tool for getting to know people you meet online. Our online personas are defined by character limits or just the fact that they are virtual. Several #eduvoxers posted about getting to know their "online only" professional network friends though Voxer, especially about how hearing people's voices really helped make a connection. Sitting here on a rainy Saturday morning, I thought "What better group of people to try this with than CLMOOC? They are thoughtful, creative people and willing to try new stuff."

Of course I'm sure many of you are Voxer people already. I'd love any coaching you can offer since this is truly my first foray into it.

Please download the free Voxer app to your phone and set up your account. Fill out this form and I'll add you to the CLMOOC Voxer chat! This is an opportunity to continue our connections, collaboration and learning in a new way.

We may chat for a few days, or if people are interested, we can continue until CLMOOC ends on August 1.

Want more info about Voxer? Here is Pernille Ripp's blog post: http://pernillesripp.com/2014/06/17/why-you-should-be-voxing/ and another post by Craig Yen, with a cool padlet wall: http://yen4teaching.blogspot.com/2014/06/learning-voxer-while-notatiste14.html

Here is my make:  a Google form that will open the door for us to get to know each other on Voxer.
