All valid points, and as I say, the SMS situation could definitely be better - thankfully Justin on Twitter is listening to feedback about both Allo and Duo so it's not falling on deaf ears. I do think native SMS integration will probably arrive on Android in the near future. I am however really happy to see the App Preview thing - and I am even happier to see it's going to be available for developers so they can use it too. In the not too distant future, send someone a Whatsapp message and they don't have Whatsapp installed - no problem, they'll still get it. This is going to be a huge gamechanger in the world of Instant Messaging apps. And it has the advantage (for us users) that by not keeping it exclusively for Allo and instead allowing 3rd party developers at it, it pushes Allo out into the real world to survive on it's own merits - so either the developers stand still too long and Allo flops hard, or they keep moving and innovating and trying to stay ahead of the game. I don't know which way Allo will go yet, but it's all going to be great for us users.
