16 years ago we purchased our first Marathon H3-40. We used it for 14 years. It was in essentially perfect condition. But they have gotten better. So we traded that one in on a full custom X3-45. We have used that coach for just over 2 years. The coach is all we hoped it would be, and more. So we have done business with Marathon Coach for just over 18 years. In all that time they have been the best business interface a customer could hope for. They are honest to a fault. They provide their products excellent support. A customer can be certain the coach they buy will be maintained (and upgraded as desired) in top condition. Their costs are reasonable. And their technical support is the industry best. They have maintenance support in Florida, Texas, Oregon plus the many Prevost chassis factory maintenance centers nationwide. Marathon builds the industry best products and provides the best support for their products.

Marathon makes a decent coach and thats where it ends. Their service is second to none in cost. I have written documentation for a repair that was done incorrectly to be completed at any Marathon location. From the first minute I showed up after scheduling the service to be completed I was informed they were not intending to fix my coach. All I heard from other patrons in the parking lot with their coaches being worked on was how bad the service had become and they had all witnessed gross overcharges on their bills. One individual had commented before I had met Scott K for my scheduled work that it did not matter if I had it in writing or not, Marathon was not going to fix the coach. He told me they would not and he was right. Buy a Prevost they are great busses. Buy a good conversion just don't buy a Marathon and whatever you do stay away from their service. I have been told Marathon is in financial trouble and it shows by the way they are treating their customers. They never did repair the A/V upgrade I paid for in full even though I had a letter stating they would. They came up with some goofy story that they had proof that I had someone else program the crestron which was not true, and would not work on my coach. I am moving forward with a law suit against the company. Their customer service is atrocious to say the least. It was to the point that the CEO of the company told me in a phone conversation he had proof I had hired someone else and called me a liar. No such proof will ever be provided as ALL the work was performed by Marathon and they are using every excuse in the book to not take care of the work they did not install correctly from the beginning. There are plenty of other places out there that can install and maintain these systems. I have never taken my coach to anyone else and was under the assumption if i took care of my coach correctly and kept it maintained by Marathon they would take care of me. I was very wrong and have now learned a very real hard lesson. This could have been a very short and easy fix and is now resulting in a lawsuit against Marathon
