In a star-studded banquet, dazzled with the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis, Justin Timberlake and Vince Vaughn, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association awarded funding to a slew of Cal State schools, including Long Beach's very own.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is donating $105,000 to Cal State Long Beach, along with donations to a number of Cal State schools, they announced earlier this month.

After awarding $383,000 last year, the Port of Long Beach is once again soliciting applications for its community sponsorship program, with aims to educate residents about the port and to improve the city.
The Port of Long Beach is calling on application submissions to its community sponsorship program this September, they announced this week.
