We have stayed at the Lennox during three previous Boston Trips. My complaint is that we have scheduled a fourth trip in a few weeks - through the Airline. Short story is the reservation is not correct. We called the Hotel and they told us there was nothing they could do because we did not make the reservation through them. We called the Airline for assistance and the Lennox tells them they cannot guarantee they can accommodate us. I find it very odd that a hotel such as the Lennox, known for its service, basically tells the customer they are out of luck if they did not book directly with the hotel. I imagine the Lennox needs the various travel sites to keep the hotel full - maybe I am wrong. If you are not booking with the Lennox directly - be aware that they value your business much less because you booked through a third party. Fortunately we still have time to cancel and find other accomodations. Very surprised and disappointed at their "Oh Well" response.

Recommended if you're with a group...but if you are a solo traveler or couple, I recommend the nearby Courtyard Marriott. The Lenox does a great job for groups taking up a block of rooms, but that leaves the less desirable rooms to everyone else. The service is so orchestrated that it seems phony and not sincere at times. When dealing with the front desk clerk, don't allow another employee to interject and tell the clerk what to do. I've seen this happen several times and it lead to being booked in mediocre room. As one reviewer mentioned, the Lenox doesn't respond to you about items left in the room. While rushing to check out at the proper time, I left a travel charger in my room and found it very hard to replace. When I called the Lenox for assistance, my name and number was taken for a followup call, but I never heard back from them. A visit to the lobby is worth a look.

This place is AWESOME! My fiance and I went to school in BU so we have really never had the chance to stay at a hotel in the city (we usually crash with a friend). I was trying to figure out a cool place with lots of character and a good location. This place has everything. When we checked in, the front desk was so polite and quick. The guy (Nate) seemed to really care about how our trip into the city was, why we came into the city, and if there was anything he could to to make our stay more enjoyable. He even offered us free drinks! "Can I get you a drink to welcome you back to the city?" How awesome is that! The lobby is very luxurious. It was decorated very nicely for the Christmas season, had some fresh baked cookies or bananas, free coffee, free gourmet hot chocolate from a boutique chocolate shop down the street. It was just very luxurious and relaxing. It even smelled really good. Not sure how to describe it...maybe a lemon smell? The location is perfect. It's right in the middle of downtown Boston. The Prudential is a couple blocks away, Newbury street is a block away, the commons/public garden is a 10 minute walk...It's just close to everything. Lots of good restaurants, bars, shopping, transportation, parks...etc. The only downside was our room. It was fine inside (the bathroom was on the small side), very clean, and otherwise pretty standard. But the window was terrible. It overlooked some kind of chickenwire cage on the roof and an air conditioner unit. There was no visible view of the city or even the street. Overall, I'd rate this place a 6 out of 5 stars... I can't wait to go back!

Shockingly large rooms for a hotel in downtown Boston and very well appointed for the most part. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the restaurants attached are all great. Areas for improvement: It has a hospital smell upon entering which is a bit offputting and the rooms, while nice are beginning to feel dated. The biggest problem I had with it is there isn't a coffeemaker in the room so you have to get dressed and stumble down to the lobby upon waking.

very nice hotel in boston's back bay. near some of the best shopping and dining the city has to offer. great place for a weekend getaway in style. the hotel is fancy and unique, no cookie-cutter corporate feel. not cheap, but still a great value.

Stayed for three nights in a regular room at this beautifully decorated boutique hotel. Nice size rooms but the bathroooms were TINY. If your pregnant, this may be an obstacle. The benefit is that you can wash your hands while sitting on the toilet. You can't beat the location. Only 1 block from Copley Place shopping and fantastic sewlection of amazing restaurants just across the street. The entire styaff were remarkable. Excellent dining recommendations and attention to details were unparalleled.
