L'Auberge is a very trendy and upscale boutique hotel. It's got a great view, decor, and staff. I highly recommend it to stay or have a wedding at. I always love DJing here. Check it out for your next wedding or event!

I just stayed at this resort with my wife over the past weekend and was very confused to say it best. Overall the hotel is very pretty and has a great boutique feel to it. The look of the hotel has the same mystique as say Laguna Surf and Sand, The Montage, Ritz Carlton etc but the amenities, service are more like a Double Tree. When you stay at a $600 per night hotel you expect amazing service, turn down service at night with water and little chocolates, a few newspapers at your door in the morning, coffee in the lobby etc. This resort at $600 per night offers zero turn down service even if you ask, they dont provide towels in the room later in the day, they charge you for a Wall Street Journal or NY times, and the rooms are mediocre at best. Overall the pool sucks and is equivalent to the courtyard up the street. We asked for a fan and they told us "it" was being used and I said what do you mean by "it" I guess they have 1 fan. I am very picky but have also stayed and some very nice hotels and I would never stay here again. The room rates should be somewhere around $299 per night.

UPDATE - Much better experience after the first noght. enough for me to change my review from 2 to 4 star. I requested too change the room from handicap to normal room. The morning front desk staff and the manager were much more friendly. In fact, they "upgraded" our room. Let's just say it was much more functional for nonhadipcap persons but not that much dufferent in size and decore. Original - All of the negative review are TRUE!!! This is our first night and it has not started well. The front desk person gave us a handicap accessible room that is not so convenient and her tone on the phone made both my wife and I feel like we were unwelcome and in fact bothering her. Here is hoping that things will get much better that I will actually revise the review at the end of our stay.

Wonderful views, no special prices. Multiple good food choices. Underground garage is not as convenient as their careful valets.

The wait staff is 2ND to none! Noah, Eli, and Rich were exceptional the entire trip with prompt service. The bellboys, concierge, and front desk were all up to par. The Coastline restaurant was delicious and offers amazing views. I recommend the blackened shrimp tacos. I also recommend avoiding Kitchen 1540. Just because your dish is complex doesn't make it good. The top sirloin had an undesirable amount of gristle (not fat). It was the worst high-end meal I had ever had. Over all the resort is fantastic though!

Booked a room for a business trip. Was forced to cancel due to the death of someone that needed to be involved in the meeting. Since their cancellation policy was 7 days, I was out of luck for a refund since it was 4 days until the stay. I asked them if they would please hold my deposit as a credit for future use, as I was absolutely going to need the room again. They told me they could due to the circumstances. I went to rebook the room and got lucky and spoke to the same woman that I cancelled with, and was told that she never told me they could retain the deposit for a future use and even if they had agreed to it (it would have required a supervisor's approval), it would have needed to be used before the close of the year. This was ridiculous. One would expect a bit more customer service at a resort such as this. I will never stay here and will tell everyone I know to avoid it at all cost.

Beautiful hotel. It's very expensive but it's incredibly close to the water, has good food and the rooms are well appointed
