Fancy winning £500 of Buy It Direct vouchers when you buy this Acer V5 thin and light laptop?  It's incredibly good for the money, and you could use the vouchers on any of of our sites, from kitchen appliances on www.appliancesdirect.co.uk to baby stuff at www.bambinodirect.co.uk.  Or you could buy more IT kit!

It's a really great deal, but hurry, at this price, they won't last long!

Hiya ☺ Bought an Aether Cone from here a couple of days ago and it arrived early and in perfect condition. Great sounding speaker and the packaging was ideal. Would have preferred to have known about the surcharge paying with PayPal before the purchase bought otherwise was a very smooth transaction. Thanks!

Would definitely not recommend this company to anyone wanting to sell a laptop. Was originally given a £180 valuation of a £250-£300 valued laptop, which I was happy to accept based on ease and not having to pay eBay fees. I sent the laptop via Collect Plus and it was received within two days. I then waited two weeks for them to 'test' my laptop. During this time, I made several phone calls to the company and on each occasion was told that this side of the business only deals with customers via email. After my second phone call today, I received an email almost instantly from the company telling me that they could offer me £0 for my laptop, because of a 'line of light bleed across the screen 3rd gen CPU was outside of acceptable criteria' I have no idea what this means, nor was any 'acceptable criteria' mentioned prior to me sending the laptop to sell. My understanding of this company is now much like that of companies like Music Magpie. Laptops Direct want to buy £800 laptops for £180, then pretend to refurbish them and sell them on for £699. Hint: nobody is this stupid. I know what I have on my hands is a laptop that I could sell on eBay for £250. Which I now have to do, because this company have taken two weeks to go back on the offer that they made me. Do not deal with this company.

I had to order a 1600 pounds laptop to replace my old one on Friday, and paid 20 extra pounds to have it delivered on Saturday, because as a CG artist freelancer, I needed it for my work. The next day at 5pm, it hadn't arrived yet so I called laptops directs and they told me it should arrive soon. I waited a little bit more, then called the carrier who told me it wouldn't arrive this day, as the supplier had selected a delivery on Monday. Today is Monday, I called laptops direct and even though I explained them that it was their mistake, that there was a good reason why I paid those extra 20 pounds and that I lost three days of work and had to spend my whole Saturday and now all Monday at home waiting for the delivery, they only refunded the "delivery delay difference" of 15 pounds. No compensation whatsoever beside that.  I don't like to write reviews and especially bad ones, but I don't want anybody to do the same mistake: if you're in a hurry, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, go anywhere else, Amazon is cheaper, delivers in time and refund you when they are the ones that messed up.

Very quick to sell Which subscription, but unable to deliver what they promised (the laptop ordered and extra warranty and 24 delivery). There is a bug on their website front page as well which invoiced me with a "set up fee" when in fact what I clicked was "extra warranty ". I wonder what "Which" would say about that! Order cancelled. As well as Which subscription.

Ordered online and received a confirmation email. The payment had been taken and all was well. Over 24 hours later they emailed to say they didn't have the item but would be in touch soon to sort a replacement. No-one got in touch. I ended up ringing them and so began a long process of differing stories. Apparently they take the money and then check if they've got any which sounds archaic for a company specialising in tech! So far I still haven't received my money back so buyer beware.

Experienced nothing but poor service. Ordered a monitor and booked delivery, promised it would be delivered on my selected only to be told they didn't actually have stock all along and it would be delivered. Cancelled that order. Ordered a graphics card for next day delivery ready for Christmas, driver never turned up and got a text later on saying I'd missed the delivery. Would not recommend using them.

I purchased a Nexus 5x. The delivery charge could not be avoided as there was no collect from store option offered. Dispatch took several days and then the delivery was slow. Worse still though was that DPD, their courier, made me collect the item from my local Sainsburys 4 miles away ( which necessitated 2 visits to the store in order to satisfy their ID requirements. The store is only 1 mile away, wish I'd used Amazon! Poor and old fashioned customer service.

I've just bought an A2 condition refurbished Toshiba laptop from this company, having done lots of research online to find a good value, well-reviewed product. They had in stock just what I wanted and the price was good. Delivery was speedy and the laptop was well packaged. On examination, I was pleasantly surprised to find the item to be more A1 than A2 in my opinion as it has hardly any marks or scuffs but it's white so I guess Laptops Direct prefer to be on the safe side. Performance of the product is brilliant so far so all-in-all I'm well impressed.

Avoid if you are buying high-end laptop. Untrained staff in the showroom told me that there is no deposit required (which appeared to be un-true on collection day). Collection delayed 3 weeks because they didn't know that "yellow" colour on the stock application means that they need to order the laptop from external supplier. During 3 weeks delay they didn't called me even once with any update or explanation so I had to call their expensive customer service line (13p/min with aprox. 10minutes on a call every time) but when they were chasing the deposit they called me 3 times during a single day. Didn't gave me more than 8h to pay deposit (even if I am working till late) and legal actions were taken. Rubbish experience. Avoid !
