Rainy weekend in october provided quiet time for me, my husband,& 9 year old. Beautiful grounds with lots to do...swim pool, fish, rope swing natural pond, photo opportunities galore, star gazing, campfire, picnic, crawfishing, wind chimes in distance, butterfly garden (I really didn't explore it, bummer)... No crowds this weekend, water crisp & refreshing! Wildlife such as deer, turkey, lizards, grey squirrels, skink (the snake like lizard), turtles, crawfish, bass, perch, catfish. Opie's bbq down the street was yummy, though I didn't care for the sauce. Bluebonnet cafe in marble falls was yummy breakfast. Maybe next time we'll plan for zip line tours nearby.

I Was told $14 a night for an rv spot, upon arrival we were then informed of a head charge per night as well. With 3 people and a single rv it was $60 a night. Mr. Krause was rude and said take it or leave it. We decided to stay only one night instead of the planned 3 because of the "miscommunication" about prices. The camp site was nice and quiet and there were a few other campers who were friendly but agreed the stay was overpriced. Did I mention it was $10 to rent a fire pit ring as well as an extra charge for wood? The next day we planned to leave and found a place about 25 minutes away called camp creek. This was a beautiful FREE camp area on the Colorado river. There were plenty of spots including benches and fire spots at every camp site. I would recommend Camp Creek over Krause springs any day as long as you don't mind dry camping.

The actual place was beautiful. It is somewhat of a pain to carry picnic items down to the natural pool as there is no walkway. Also it gets very cramped since so many come and the area isn't very big. After about an hour we were done. However the staff (lady at the front) was HORRIBLE. Very rude, hateful and just ruined our entire experience. There are too many other nearby places that are a MUCH better bet.

A nice escape from the Texas heat. We really enjoyed the spring fed pool. I was told the water temp was 68, so it was very refreshing. Not far from Austin either. Going to try camping there next time.

It's a good place to go with a few friends, it is fun to walk through all the tree roots and find the smaller waterfall. There are always loud drunk people but oh well sometimes it's funny. Best to bring some sort of floating device, & beware of turtles &snakes. There is also a sweet little garden with chimes to walk through.

Like a slice of heaven. Could hardly take in all the beauty. We took seven year old twins and it was perfect. People were pretty chill on the day we went, but I heard it can be rowdy, which is fine too. You can bring floaties and rafts. Bring your lunch/drinks and be prepared to camp out for the day. Rocks are slippery around bank. Wear water shoes or tennis shoes. Water is shallow in some areas, deep in others. Truck your trash out. No trash cans by the springs. SUPER COURTEOUS owners. Had so much fun!! So fortunate to have such a beautiful place to visit.

This place is cool but not amazing compared to ther swimming holes in the area. You can drink canned beer there, but I got in trouble with the lady who runs the place because my concert shirt said Texas F*#$%ing Metal on it. She practically forced me to take it off otherwise I wouldn't be allowed in. We definitely aren't in Austin anymore!!!

Camping at Krause springs is amazing. The staff was kind and helpful. The springs we amazing and fun. Our kids loved the rope swings. We can't wait to go back soon.
