KLEINBANK'S "SWIPE IT FORWARD" PROGRAM HELPS SUPPORT LOCAL NON-PROFIT, VEAP.

KleinBank’s monthly Swipe It Forward program resulted in a $1,550.20 donation to April’s selected recipient, VEAP. VEAP provides services to low-income residents of Richfield, Bloomington, Edina and a portion of south Minneapolis. They operate one of the largest food pantries in the state with approximately 10,000 individuals having access to fresh, healthy foods each month. Also, VEAP's food programs for youth provide supplemental food for school-aged children over the summer and on weekends during the school year. Volunteers provide transportation for low-income seniors to get to medical appointments and licensed social workers to help and support families as they work to re-stabilize their financial situation. The non-profit can deliver these programs thanks to the help of over 3,000 individuals and volunteer groups.

Trent E. Bowman, VP Community Development Officer of KleinBank, stated, “VEAP’s wide range of support helps all members of our community in need. We feel honored to support an organization like VEAP that has so much positive impact on our communities."

Each month a local non-profit is selected and receives five cents every time a KleinBank customer uses their Debit MasterCard for purchases on the fifteenth day of the month.
