Another shooter goes on the rampage here in Montgomery County, Maryland.
All Montgomery County Schools are on lock down due to the shootings at Montgomery Mall. I got a phone call and email messages recently. I pasted in one of the email messages below from MCPS. Unfortunately,I pick up my son before school ends everyday. I started getting these email messages just after 1pm. I will have to wait and see what happens next. My wife and daughter happen to be in Aspen Hill presently where the shooter was last seen. Not a very comfortable feeling knowing the shooter is on the loose.

At the request of the police, we are placing all MCPS schools in a shelter-in-place due to police activity at Montgomery Mall and in Aspen Hill. We anticipate that dismissal will occur on time. We will provide an update by 1:30 p.m.

I made these Nutella cupcakes during the blizzard. I dug out last night after several hours, but it's nice to know I can get out or stay home and gobble up some cupcakes.

I'm done with the shoveling.   I got this done last night, but it was still snowing at that time.  Now for the meltdown!  Notice the car just beyond my driveway is totally covered with snow.

+Scott Anderson +Derek Ross I am trying to breath new life into my old Nexus 7.  I have not used it in about a year now.  So, I just updated it to Lollipop 5.0.2.  What's the best way to root this device?  Any ideas?  Is Kingroot any good?

Jamaican Brown Stew Chicken I decided to re-create this recipe from scratch and it came out very well. I made it over the weekend, but I wanted to post the simple recipe. So, here it is. Sorry for any typos, but I was in a hurry to post this recipe.
The family wanted to eat up the chicken after the frying stage. lol

Jamaican Brown Stew Chicken Recipe
1 Large Whole Chicken Cut up into Small pieces
1 lime or lemon to clean chicken with
1/4 cup Vegetable oil - Enough Oil to cover pan & fry chicken
1 Tbs salt
1 Tbs Black Pepper
1 large yellow onion diced
6 stalks scallion chopped
1 plum tomato chopped (optional)
1 rib celery chopped (optional)
1 tsp fresh ginger root ground (optional)
1 Small Red Bell pepper julienned
1 Small Green Bell pepper julienned
4-6 Cloves Garlic minced
½ Large Scotch bonnet pepper seeds removed
3 Sprigs Thyme or more
Small heap of Cilantro
2 cans Chicken Broth - Must be HOT, so place in separate sauce pan & keep heated.
1 TBs Browning - use as much to get the sauce and meat to your desired color

Clean chicken with fresh lemon or lime juice.
Marinate chicken with some salt, pepper and some of the onions for at least 1 hour. Remove onions from chicken and in a heavy pot with a cover, heat oil and fry chicken pieces until golden brown on all sides. Place browned pieces on plate with paper towels and put aside.
Remove half the oil and fry the peppers, onions and celery(not scotch pepper). Add Salt & black pepper. Stir and cook until onions are translucent and then add garlic, thyme, cilantro, scallions, scotch bonnet pepper, tomato and ¼ can of chicken broth. Stir well and cook for a couple of minutes. Return all chicken pieces to pot and stir for 5 minutes. Pour in remaining hot/warm chicken stock and add browning, then stir well.

Cover pot and simmer until chicken is tender. Add additional salt and pepper to taste.

Note: If you don’t have the browning seasoning, then you will need to add some oil in a small skillet set to med. high heat. When the oil is hot, then add add some brown sugar (appx. 2-3 TBSP) and cook it down until it has a nice dark brown color to it. DON’T BURN IT! If the heat is too hot, then remove the skillet from the burner and reduce heat before continuing. Stir sugar constantly and then when it’s a deep brown color take it off and set it aside. Use this browning you have just made in the above recipe.

+Julie Boudreau I am also a cancer survivor.  The only one in my family still breathing to speak about it.  It took me 12 years to recover, but my hair never grew back.  It's why I had to go bald, but it's in style now. lol  I am at about 85% (energy level) where I was before cancer.  I had surgery to remove the tumor in my neck and then radiation treatment.  It's the radiation that took it out of me. I am happy to still be here and I bet you are as well. You look amazing with your young self.  It's Julie the 6.0 version.
