Above: Sci Fi movie Minority Report envisions a future of fast-moving networked cars. We're one week out from the Detroit Auto show, 2016, which I'll be attending. Many established auto manufactures have shown prototypes, made pronouncements, while young upstarts release their vehicles at CES, ...

This video is incredible. The scenes are stitched together as one long scene.

In the on-demand, peer-to-peer movement called the collaborative economy, many rising startups are offering convenience to attract new users and customers. In this new economy, Uber and Lyft provide rides with just a few quick clicks on a mobile app—no credit cards or cash to fuss with.

New Report on Collaborative Economy Adoption

I'm thrilled to announce our latest research report on the Collaborative Economy, which has adoption data of 50k+ North Americans of Uber, Airbnb, Lyft, Etsy, Maker Movement, Bitcoin, crowdfunding P2P lending and more. We've partnered with the smart folks at Vision Critical, who's market intelligence software platform helps us to continually get insights.

In North America, participation in this space has grown by 25 percent. More than 110 million people in the U.S. and Canada have participated in some form of sharing in the past year.
We also found that there are THREE business opportunities for large established companies, based on 1) Price, 2) Brand affinity 3) On-demand services. I'll be exploring these more, over the next few months, on the blog.

Please share this post, see the embedded infographic, and download the full 28 page report at no cost.

First, we had the Internet Era, when a few people could publish online and e-commerce is born. Then came the Social Media Age, when anyone could publish online using social tools, including brands. The digital communication floodgates were opened. Today, many companies are trying to get their ...

Silicon Valley has an image problem. Here's the data to show, graphed as word clouds. Here's some questions:

Does Silicon Valley:
1) Know it has an image problem?
2) Do they care?
3) Should it be fixed?
4) If so, how?

http://www.web-strategist.com/blog/2015/11/23/should-silicon-valley-fix-its-image-problem/
Silicon Valley is known for a lot of positive things, but there's clearly negative sentiment from outsiders. The question is, does Silicon Valley want to fix this image problem? Decades ago, before it was called “Silicon Valley” it was an area abundant with fruit and flower farms, ...

Collaborative Economy valuation is through the rainbow-beaming clouds. This highly-funded, fast-growing, media-hounded startups are the portfolio darlings of any Venture Capital firm. This crowd-based, on-demand, collaborative category enables people to access resources from peers using ...

How intelligent people insult others:

"That person sure is funny"

"What a comedian"

"That person is a series of teachable moments"

"What a mis-informed comment"

"What an interesting character"

"What a learning opportunity"

seems true.

I am surprised how impolite some people in business are now.  There was once a code of behavior weather or not one agreed or competed. Anyway, J.O. makes a good point.

thank you, J.
