The Bauhaus school of art and architecture in early 20th century Germany was the birthplace of a revolution in modern design. Founder Walter Gropius’ form-follows-function philosophy transformed advertising, typography, architecture, people’s living spaces, and the public’s aesthetic expectations in fundamental ways. The Bauhaus mission — to provide affordable, artistic, utilitarian design for every class of person — was a smashing success. Today...

Pretty cool...

At SIGGRAPH conference, the FX team behind the movie "Gravity" just gave a detailed session on topics like destroying the International Space Station, creating CG spacesuits that allow more acting than real ones, and creating the Earth and atmosphere backdrops.

Really funny moment was the reveal of the "orbital path" the movie followed around the globe. The artists chose background shots for their beauty, not for any coherent orbit. A fan traced the action and put together a path on Google Earth. Fantastic number of zigs and zags that resembles a Santa Claus route more than a NASA orbit.

Story
Tagline
Associate Creative Director at Apple; former Multimedia Producer at Audi. Serial wine/architecture/hummus enthusiast.
Introduction
Multimedia Producer/Editor at Audi of America

Film/video producer/director/editor working in-house at Audi of America in Herndon, VA. Have the privilege of shooting, directing, and editing the majority of the video content produced by Audi of America; see http://www.youtube.com/audiusa for work samples.

I value a positive, curious culture and strong teamwork above most anything else. Experience leading in-house teams, outside businesses/agencies, and independent contractors has taught me that culture AND tactical precision are required elements of any successful social media campaign.

Directed my first national commercial (DWS Scutter, Deutsche Bank) at the age of 26 and was named one of the nation's top 50 video marketers (by 50 Interviews Publications) at the age of 27.

As a content producer, I've directed six national ads, two award-winning short films, and hundreds digital videos. My background in film and television taught me the value of engaging, compelling creative content, and has allowed me to draft digital / social media strategies to match.

I've been fortunate to work with prominent brands in social media: directing 5 ads for the 2008 Barack Obama Presidential Campaign and producing video content at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. Now, I produce exclusively as an employee at Audi of America.

My work on the agency- and client-side have helped shaped my understanding of dynamic, integrated social media platforms and the processes required to execute.

We were thrilled to finally have the chance to eat at the Tabbard Inn, hearing much buzz about it. Unfortunately, we probably won't go back. The service was horrible and the food was really just, "ok." The fact our reservation for brunch was at 2:00 may have had much to do with it, as they seemed to be changing the dining room over as we ate, but it was no excuse for the service. Final conclusion: Awesome ambiance with a much overrated experience. Very disappointed, on the whole.

I recently bought an engagement ring from Midtown Jewelers and my experience could not have been better. I let them know what I was looking for and they did their best to assist. There was no pressure, just the assurance they were there if I had any questions. After a couple weeks of researching, I returned to Midtown for the ring I'd chosen to move forward with. I'm happy to report, that three months later, I'm extraordinarily pleased with the deal/value I received. My fiance´ is very pleased with her ring and I couldn't be more thankful to Anya, Bobby, and the Midtown Jewelers team.
