Apparently my dad occasionally looks at what I post on Google+. So far this year I have posted a grand total of 3 things, two of which were complaints about Google products and the last one was two months ago.

So here is number 4.

+Alex Bee (or anyone else at Google): Can you explain why "Google Play Services" is now draining the battery on my phone? Yesterday it used >50% at the end of the day and now it has used 71% after 11 hours. I can normally go a whole day without charging yet now, late afternoon, it is going to need to be plugged in soon.

Am I right in thinking that this version, 4.4.52, is new as of a few days ago?

Dear Google; When I try to log into the admin panel (https://admin.google.com/) all I get is the attached screenshot. Where can I find these secret account details?

Some time ago we had a discussion about what we needed for Raspberry Pi kits. There was some talk about how best to manage the SD cards but I don't know what was resolved.

The NOOBS package (see link) may be just what we are looking for. It is set up in such a way that it is simple to re-image the card on boot. At the moment it comes with a selection of generic operating system installs but I think it should be possible to replace the list with one or more builds that are customised for the projects we want to run.

I have tried this and it works quite well, taking about 10 minutes to boot up into a completely fresh install.

Really Google? Copying Microsoft's so.cl? There is a reason why no one has heard of it.

IBM Manchester are recruiting for graduates - http://ibm.co/S6OlYA - and experienced (contact me).

Hey, Google, that is really useful information. Any chance you could tell me which of the 20088 is the one I know?

I am hoping to arrange to borrow the GM STEMNET RPis for my Code Club some time after Easter. I think it would be best if the kids get their own SD cards so that they can keep using them from one session to the next (and, I hope, on a RPi they get for themselves). I don't really understand the different types (and classes) so can someone tell me what is suitable. For example, this seems quite cheap:

 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SanDisk-SDHC-Flash-Memory-Card-4GB-4G-4-G-GB-SD-HC-New-/220598305901

but is a Class 4 good enough? And is there anywhere that will do a good deal for buying in bulk (bulk = about a dozen).
