I get asked a lot why Los Angeles has been so slow to embrace the craft beer revolution, and this piece about Eagle Rock Brewery's struggles with the city bureaucracy gives a good indication that some blame can be placed on the a local government that is anything but friendly to small businesses. Let's help ERB stay open, and after that fight's won, let's help reform the CIty of L.A. and make it a better place for business.

Hi Google+!

Sorry I've ignored you so much lately (I don't think I'm the only one), but here's a post that I really want to share about my experience drinking beers on the tour bus of one of my favorite bands:

A couple of months ago I was invited to the Paso Robles brewery to sit-in on the exclusive winemakers blending session for Firestone Walker Brewing Co. XVII Anniversary Ale. Bottles of the brew are showing up on store shelves now; here's my exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the beer.

I've been really bad about keeping G+ updated, but I'm going to turn that around!

This weekend marked three years since my mom's passing, and I wrote a little something last week to try and put it into perspective. I shared it on FB and Twitter, but forgot about G+, so here you go:

I remembered I had a blog that wasn't dedicated to beer and wrote a little thing about music and life-lessons.
