John Carroll has won the OAC Men's All-Sports Trophy for 2014-15! It's the fifth time overall and first since the 2003-04 season for the Blue Streaks. Congrats to all our student-athletes, coaches and athletic staff.
Congrats to Matt Sokol ’15, a communication major and entrepreneurship minor, who received first place and a prize of $5,000 at the ideaLab competition held last month. Matt developed a revolutionary new marine paint, Hammerhead Paint, which is environmentally friendly and provides longer lasting coverage for the boat.
A team of 19 John Carroll University political science students participated in the National University Model Arab League competition held in Washington, DC. Six JCU students received distinguished delegate awards in their respective categories. Congrats to the team and advisor Mona DeBaz.

The Roderick Boyd Porter Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a John Carroll University rising senior for their contribution to the humanities in the spirit of Rod Porter ’69. This year, the Porter Scholarship Committee—with Provost and Academic Vice President Jeanne Colleran, Ph.D.’s approval—has awarded the scholarship to Jessica Bou-Anak ’16.
