1. Wait for the the camera app to update via the Play Store, or download the APK here: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358560008

2. Open the Camera App and select camera. Add a remote timer, either 3 seconds or 10 seconds.

Remember FateX? A song on the radio reminded me of all those apps that would play a little sound clip when you opened it so you were in the right mood for hacking.

Introducing the first apps for Android Wear!

Now you can order dinner, take a note, send a message, check your flight, or even learn a language right on your Android Wear device. Check out some examples in the album below, or head to Google Play see the full selection of apps now available for Android Wear (with many more to come!): goo.gl/LHjWNr

A hard topic that affects us all

I accidentally double-booked #io14, and gave a talk at #velocityconf  titled The W's of Diversity. This was an extremely difficult talk to give, and by no means is presentation comprehensive of everything you need to know. My hope is that it will further develop some empathy and provoke some good conversations.

As a side note, despite the amount of presentations I've given over the last few years, the live coding, the almost successful demos, the keynotes, and the stretched analogies...this was the talk that lost me the most amount of sleep, caused the most anxiety, and made me want to run away numerous times. Yet, I'm very glad I followed through with it.
