We invite you to the return of Ramen Night at jeninni kitchen + wine bar!
 
jeninni kitchen + wine bar, home of James Beard Award-nominated author and 2014 Gourmand World Cook Award winner Chef Jeffrey Weiss, welcomes back Chef Paras Shah of New York for a special popup ramen dinner with beverage pairing by owner/sommelier Thamin Saleh. 

This one-of-a-kind dining experience is open for one-night-only on Tuesday, May 12, providing fervent fans the opportunity to experience a dining experience they have come to love and crave over the past 5 months, since Shah’s last visit to the Monterey peninsula.

Chef Shah, formerly a member of the 2009 ICEX Spanish culinary scholarship team alongside Chef Weiss, is in the final stages of opening his own restaurant in midtown Manhattan at 5 West 21st Street in the coming weeks. Previously, Chef Shah has cooked at such famed restaurants as el bulli in Roses, Spain, as well as Momofuku Noodle Bar and Per Se in New York.

His fresh and exciting menu will feature nods to his new restaurant, with starters including a scallop crudo with sea beans, black lime salt, fresno, + kumquat purée. Diners can then indulge in a selection of four ramens including a pork ramen with benton’s bacon + local collard greens, a miso ramen with local mushrooms, a chicken tsukemen with calamansi, and a vegetarian option of veggie tsukemen. Beverage selections by jeninni owner Thamin Saleh include Ichishima Tokubetsu Honjozo sake, German riesling, Champagne, Austrian grüner veltliner, and Japanese white ale beer 'hitachino nest' from Kiuchi Brewery.

This Tuesday January 13th, join us for a very special pop-up dinner featuring the flavors of Mexico. We are proud to feature one of our bright young chefs, Kristian Sencion, whose debut menu includes many of his family-favorite recipes from Mexico. 
 
Featured menu items include handmade tortillas, various street tacos (including Kristian’s family recipe for pork belly pibil and lengua tacos), red pozole, rabbit tinga tamales, and chile verde. Desserts include churros served withmezcal hot chocolate, and beverage pairings by jeninni bartender-maestro John Loewen including a wine bar-take on margaritas, boozy horchata, and specialty Mexican beers. 

The Tuesday Night Dinner Series, often referenced online as , is a favorite, prix fixe dinner series on the Monterey Peninsula, and features guest chefs + vintners, wine pairings, and events such as the popular paella + Tuscan fried chicken nights.

On December 9th, the 2014/15 #tnds season kicks off with a bang by welcoming back Chef Paras Shah of New York for a special pop-up ramen dinner paired with sake, riesling, and grüner wines. Chef Shah, formerly a member of the 2009 ICEX Spanish culinary scholarship team alongside jeninni chef Jeffrey Weiss, is in the final stages of opening his own restaurant in midtown Manhattan in early 2015. Previously, he has cooked at such famed restaurants as el bulli in Roses, Spain, as well as Momofuku Noodle Bar and Per Se in New York.
