Introduction

Jeffrey Noyes White grew up in the small, quaint village of Clinton, New York. He attended high school at the Putney School, located on a farm in remote, rural Vermont. In these settings Jeffrey developed an appreciation for the beauty and complexity of nature.

At an early age, Jeffrey displayed exceptional aptitude at math and science, writing his own computer game programs and drawing elaborate mazes. He began studying the piano at around ten years old; the guitar, twelve. Soon, Jeffrey grew fascinated by the geometry of music, and became obsessed with exploring all its possibilities -- perhaps to the detriment of his social development.

Eventually, after becoming sufficiently aware of the cultural limitations of small-town life, Jeffrey considered broadening his horizons at various colleges and, feeling drawn by the mystery of the west coast, chose to move to Oregon, where he has made his home ever since.

So now, when Jeffrey tells you that he was originally from one of the lesser moons of Saturn, you will know better.

Jeffree White has been playing the guitar and piano for over thirty years. He has performed with over fifty acts ranging from blues bands to reggae groups to progressive rock bands to jazz ensembles. Since moving to Portland in 1997, he has performed at most of the local clubs with Thermal Boogie, Hot Club of Hawthorne, Train River, the Tree Frogs, Funk Shui, Cats Under the Stars, Stellakinesis, Jenny Sizzler, Ashbury Park, Rich Man's Burden, Five, Diggabone, Julie Larson, Pepper, and Flying Colours, and as a regular solo performer. His versatility, imagination, and technical prowess have won him high praises. Jeffree captivates audiences with his strong, lyrical melodies and sophisticated rhythm playing, as well as his whimsical delivery and flamboyant presence.

that strummy type of picking is not the best idea for demoing.  would be better to hear clean single note melodies

Hey thanks so much for publishing this!  I'm Jeffree White, the guitarist and vocalist.  I was just sitting in with the Hillwilliams; I sometimes fill in for their guitarist.  I lead my own bluegrass group called Train River; see http://trainriver.info .   I'm also the bandleader of the Hot Club of Hawthorne, the gypsy jazz band which played the Hootenanny earlier in the day.  http://hotclubofhawthorne.com  Cheers!  ♫

Very nice!  I would say an important part of the organ sound that is overlooked is the ability to change between two Leslie speeds.  That ramping between speeds is an integral part of the organ's power....  Maybe an extra button or aux footswitch that toggles between the speeds (with ramping)?  Still, I want one!
