By @bebeautifulla "i’d rather give a sister my hand, than to tell a bitch to bow down. and this isn’t about respectable politics, cause I get it. i understand the giddy and heady spectacularness of owning our #power, and enforcing it in the world, especially as woc, especially as #blackwomen. but, since grade school where i was bullied by other girls for being too happy of a person, too nice, too thoughtful and sweet, I’ve noticed there is a societal pressure to exhibit a coolness that borders on cruelty and dismissal of others in order to be accepted and special. honestly, i am just so tired of this dynamic especially within the #africanamerican community. i am so tired of this dynamic with other sisters. no, we don’t all rock with the same things, or have the same politics, but this hyper competition/ this slicing through another persons self esteem to feel larger and fuller is chopping us all off at the knees. kindness is not weakness and ‘being the baddest bitch’ doesn’t need to come with blades. do you. It’s that simple. can’t nobody mess with that, because there is only one you. instead of us making a detailed list of someone else’s flaws, we need to stay taking inventory of our gorgeousness. and help another sister/ another person do them. show them that who they are is incredible. let’s really start looking at this methodology of loving ourselves. this harmful way of building self esteem. this enjoyable shattering of others to make ourselves whole, and why we find it so acceptable.

4/14/2014.
Today's #foodcrushoftheday  are these homemade Cinnamon rolls.
Dough:
7g package yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup scalded milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter or shortening
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
Filling:
1/2 cup melted butter, plus more for pan
3/4 cup sugar, plus more for pan
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
3/4 cup walnuts, or pecans, optional
Glaze:
4 tablespoons butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 to 6 tablespoons hot water
Heat oven to 350 degrees F (176 degrees C).
In a cup dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside. In a large bowl mix milk, sugar, melted butter, salt and egg.
Add 2 cups of flour and mix until smooth. Add yeast. Mix in remaining flour until dough is easy to handle.
Knead dough on lightly floured surface for 5 to 10 minutes (key to soft rolls!). Place in well-greased bowl, cover and let rise until doubled in size, usually 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
When doubled in size, punch down dough. Roll out on a floured surface into a 15 by 9-inch rectangle.
Spread melted butter all over dough. Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over buttered dough. Sprinkle with walnuts/pecans if using. Beginning at the 15-inch side, role up dough and pinch edge together to seal. Cut into 12 to 15 slices.
Coat the bottom of baking pan with butter and sprinkle with sugar. Place cinnamon roll slices close together in the pan and let rise until dough is doubled, about 45 minutes.
Bake for about 30 minutes or until nicely browned.
Meanwhile, mix butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Add hot water 1 tablespoon at a time until the glaze reaches desired consistency. Spread over slightly cooled rolls.

This is a question to anyone that practices law. If a student records a video on a school campus of a fight with their cellphone, do school officials have the legal right to confiscate the phone and pull/search videos or pictures of the incident. If they do have a legal right please cite the case or law related. Not to mention say the video was recording the victim prior to the fight so it's assumed the person recording the video knew the fight was going to happen.

I agree that is is an interesting topic. The way technology laws are in their infancy per say may not have a clear answer for the question.

How To Find Fulfillment And Purpose In Your Life

So many people today are suffering with a deficiency. Not one regarding nutrition and health, but a deficiency of direction and purpose in t

So far not so good. Called them on January 18th 2014 and spoke with someone in regards to a certain part. They stated they had it in stock and that if ordered today to make sure to pay and ask for UPS shipping and I would receive by January 22nd. So I ordered the parts and received a confirmation email but my email did not have a tracking number. I've never dealt with a company that didn't provide any type of tracking info on an order, even if the email came later on. Their email stated to call within 48 hours for tracking info. I called them yesterday because I had not received anything yet and when I asked for tracking number they stated that the item had been shipped from the Manufacturer. Why would it need to be shipped from Frigidaire if you originally stated that you had the item I need in stock at your facilities? Furthermore the attitude of the guy I spoke to really rubbed me the wrong way. On top of that he states that he had not received a tracking number yet and that I need to call the next day. Well I called back TODAY and spoke with someone (not the same person from yesterday) and they stated that it would not be going out until TODAY (January 24th) and that it had been drop shipment from the manufacturer. Why would it be drop shipment from the manufacturer when I was informed yesterday that it was being shipped from the manufacturer directly? But then before that I was told you had the part in stock at your facilities? It's just another lie on top of another lie. So I finally received a tracking number this time and hope I will receive my parts this Monday. The only plus out of this so far has been the pricing of the parts, beyond that it's been down hill. *UPDATE* On Monday (Jan. 27th) the delivery is made and I inform my parents that the package has been dropped off. My dad checks it out and informs me that the wrong item had been mailed. I had requested some Range Shafts and we instead receive a water valve for a fridge. I was pissed off and immediately called the company and after being transferred about 3 times I finally was able to speak to someone by the name of Bill. I can honestly say Bill was the only saving grace with this whole transaction. He apologized for the mixed up and assured me I would have my correct order by tomorrow afternoon. He called me again to apologize and informed me he would email me the tracking number info. So on Tuesday (Jan. 28th) the correct item was delivered by 12:45pm. My father informed me that the correct item did come and their range was back to being fully functional. So to Bill I say THANK YOU for assistance. I greatly appreciate it.

Fantastic service what I received from this place. A few weeks ago I strolled on in because I waiting for some food to go from The Cheesecake Factory. For a while I had been looking for some new and funky looking cat eye-wear. I had been online and checked stores around St. Louis. So I decided to check out SEE Eyewear again because in the past I had not found any frames that interested me. Thursday Oct. 24, 2013: So I walk in and start checking out a few frames and a lady by the name of Katie welcomes me to the store and inquires about my visit. I told her I was just checking out their selections but wanted to see if they had in cat eye-wear. Well she starts pull out different options and I tell you she hit on the NAIL with about 4 that she pulled out for me. They were funky, unique, and limited in quantity. Which is something I really love when it comes to certain things. I don't want to walk around and see someone else wearing the exact same thing. Now my head in my opinion isn't dainty or small by a long run so I do find it hard sometimes to find something that I will like. It amazed me that Katie could find certain ones so quickly and then after trying them on I just loved them. So I immediately wanted to know what the pricing would be and she worked up some figures for me. I went home that evening and couldn't stop thinking about them. When it comes to eye-wear in general I am VERY PICKY. I love great quality eye-wear. I put just as much time into picking out eye-wear as much as I am to picking on unique pieces of jewelry. The last pair of glasses I purchased was back in 2006. Friday Oct. 25, 2013: So I spoke with Katie the next day and asked her to please put all four pairs on hold because I was interested in all of them. Also we spoke over the phone and I faxed her a copy of my eye insurance information and my eye prescription since I already had my exam earlier at the Lenscrater location also located in the St. Louis Galleria. She calls me back later on in the day and informs me of the prices on the glasses. Now what really was great was with my particular eye insurance I received 30% on frames and lenses, but I also had a Groupon that I could use as well on one of the pairs that I could receive $200 a pair of glasses, but which ever one I used the Groupon on I couldn't use the 30% discount, which was more than understandable. So the whole day I was SUPER excited and couldn't wait to get off of work. Yet unfortunately it wasn't meant to be because I became engulfed in something later that night and wasn't available until the malls closed so I was pretty sad and figured that they had probably put the glasses back out later on that evening which I could understand. Saturday Oct. 26, 2013: So the next morning I called around 11am and asked for Katie and found out that she wouldn't be in on Saturday. I informed them who I was and the lady that I spoke to on the phone told me that they still had all 4 frames reserved for me. I am not kidding when I say I actually jumped up in the air. I got dressed as soon as possible and made my way to the store. I eventually decided on 3 out of the 4 frames but have plans in the VERY NEAR future to pick up the 4th pair. The young lady that helped me was wonderful and took care of me just great. The level of customer service that I received from Katie as well as her coworkers, was beyond stellar. Whenever I decide to get any new eye-wear in the future, they will be the first location I will consider.

The food is amazing! The white pasta is delicious, the garlic bread, toasted rav, but the icing on the cake for me is the New York strip sandwich. I get it medium rare with only cheese, then I get mixed veggies which are delicious. Then I get a small bowl of their cream sauce and dip my sandwich into it. Simply Devine. They do delivery to my job which is wonderful and they do have a nice dining in area and can do a private party as well. 5 stars across the board!

Well on June 7th after having a smooth day at work I decided to head to my new salon a head of time so I could get a feeling for the area and more importantly scope out parking:) I find a spot and make my way on in. The inside of this establishment is NICE------->2 thumbs up:) My appointment wasn't until 5:15pm but I was there about 40 min early so I wasn't expecting to be waited on just yet. Well I was wrong..lol The stylist I was there to see was Daisha Putman. She introduced herself and had me already getting shampooed within 10 minutes by a young lady in the back. After she was done I went to Daisha's chair and she did some cutting on my hair because I still had some relaxed strands lurking about. We chatted as well. I told her how I knew two of her other customers who had given their thumbs up and recommendations in regards to her services. Afterwards she proceeded to put my hair in rods. She was surprised that I had so much growth, about 3 or 4 inches she saw. Which I didn't even know I had even when I would wash my own hair. So after that I went under the dryer which I must say was quite an interesting experience. I'm from the old school with the hoods attached to the back of the chairs...Well they have hoods that are attached on the walls and they can position them over your head with some snap opening contraption I guess just in case you have large rollers in your head and need to be able to put the hood on. So I was under there for a while and after I was done, Daisha took the rods out, finished up my hair and POOF! My hair was looking good;) My style is suppose to keep for about 2 weeks so I'll be making sure I can stretch it out that long. Before I left, Daisha gave me some maintenance tips and I thanked her again for doing such a wonderful job.
