NEW RECIPE: Avocado, Banana and Chocolate Pancakes

Yes, I went there, I said avocado pancakes. Trust me on this one. Lower carb, tastes great and really versatile - perfect brunch or breakfast option :-)

I took a recipe from Glow by PopSugar that I stumbled across recently and added almond flour for some added nutritional oomph.

Check it out! http://www.healthyperspective.co/recipes/brunch/avocado-banana-paleo-pancakes-891

I feel very strongly about this - there's a lot of huffing and puffing from many in the medical world/nutrition world and the food industry - for a number of reasons!

Does more debate need to be had? Yes.
Does it cause more confusion for people? Yes.
Will they hopefully go and better inform themselves about their diets and what they eat? Man I hope so ....

NEWS: Is the tide turning on the 'Saturated fat: good or bad?' debate (I hope so!).

READ MORE: http://www.healthyperspective.co/news/food-and-nutrition/the-eat-fat-dont-eat-fat-debate-is-the-tide-turning-37

A leading UK Health charity has come and said what the Paleo and Primal community has been saying for a long time - saturated fat is not the enemy in the fight against obesity and ill health, contrary to what we've been told over the last 40 years by medical 'experts' and the food industry.

It's not often I feel the need to rant (well, maybe more often than I care to admit) but I feel VERY STRONGLY about this. I hope for more reports, more data, to finally put the nail in the coffin of 'Fat is bad' - for our sake, the sake of our children and future generations.

Bravo to the National Obesity Forum for taking a stand!
