That's not cutting edge, that's the plot to Sid Meier's Alpha Centuri.

Also, iPhones are NOT 1000x more powerful than a 70s supercomputer. If anything a modern SoC is probably quite similar to a 70s Cray in terms of MIPS at least.

How to install Google Chrome 28+ on RHEL/CentOS 6 or 7. The problem. Google developers seem to think that Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 - aka RHEL 6 - and its free equivalents (e.g. CentOS 6 and Scientific Linux 6) are no longer worth supporting at all w.r.t. their Google Chrome browser from ...

I can't understand why any of this would make we want to get on their specific plane..? I just buy whatever ticket is cheapest. "Sure, Virgin is £200 cheaper but Delta did that freakin' Youtube video with Doge!!!"

I still say "ONE MILLION DOLLARS" in the Dr Evil voice every single time anyone asks me how much something costs. Every singe time. It'll never get old.

When you're a kid your mum always says things like "those who talk about it the most, do it the least", which would make The Weeknd a virgin.

If you work in IT, people don't come to take your job, your job leaves you and goes to India.

So why do countries like Germany, Iceland, Denmark and Finland have high employment rates and are all in the EU?

Don't shop here, we got a £70 parking charge for parking there for 41 minutes, while we shopped in their store. WTF guys?

Approx £4 for regular milkshake. Nothing you couldn't make at home for pennies really and I waited for ages because they're understaffed. Lady who made the milkshakes was really nice, though she looked worn out! Shop itself is really tatty so not somewhere you want to sit and consume said milkshake. Took kids there for a treat but they were highly unimpressed.

Got a couple of Buff Warrens for our garden (dog attack had taken out 2 of our previous 3) and they're great, very reasonable, excellent condition and laying straight away. Lovely place too and very child-friendly. Owners are very knowledgeable and friendly and are open more or less all the time.

Brilliant nursery, all new building and equipment in a purpose-built (well, a barn conversion I think) venue. Lovely childcare with lots of attention to detail and good hygiene. Presume entertainments and activities were really good because our little one adored going there and would get her coat and shoes in the mornings ready to leave! Childcare vouchers accepted of course. Much, much better than a certain nursery in Headington, which I shall not name, although it's very simple to guess who I mean.

Best chippy in Winchester. Fish very fresh, crispy chips and calamari rings very nice. . Slight tendency to over-salt maybe? If only they did kebabs...

Have only been in once but got a tiny, dry piece of fish and brown chips. Avoid.

Sue Whitehead, the senior partner, dealt with a case we were involved in. She essentially stonewalled us and pretended to be on holiday, off sick, on the phone - it was just impossible to get in touch with her. The whole thing collapsed because they'd not done simple checks at the beginning, leaving us out of pocket and they didn't notify us quickly enough, exacerbating an already very difficult situation for us. Another solicitor we used told us that they take on way too much work and only bother with straightforward cases, if anything tricky comes up you're S.O.L. Can't recommend... too much.
