Jim Eglin’s expertise is driving growth for technology products and services companies – as evidenced by his record in marketing, sales, and business development with companies from startups to established industry leaders. Jim currently serves as the Vice President of Online Engagement (Sales and Marketing).
Previously VP of Sales and Marketing for SysArc, Inc., Jim played an instrumental role in evolving the company from a traditional IT services firm to a managed IT services provider successfully competing against much larger and more established players in the Mid-Atlantic market. Under Jim’s leadership, the company grew recurring revenue to more than $1 million annually in the last three years while tripling profit margins.
At SysArc and previously at Digital Documents and Legal Advantage, Jim focused the marketing efforts on web-based, viral, social networking channels to rapidly build credibility, visibility, and lead generation. His efforts resulted in #1 search engine rankings for critical keywords at two different companies. Currently the SysArc community drives website traffic and referrals through client video testimonials, a Facebook fan page, an active blog, and a relevant Twitter stream – all of which produce more highly qualified leads and a shorter sales cycle.
In every role, Jim has exceeded steep sales goals while meeting diverse challenges that include launching a new company (Digital Documents), accelerating ROI for private equity owners (Legal Advantage), and penetrating a new market sector (Strategic Technologies, Oracle). Focusing equally on sales strategy, sales process, and tactical execution, he has built exceptional sales organizations and personally landed some of the largest and most strategic accounts in company history.
Jim earned his Bachelor’s degree at George Mason University and has completed extensive sales and management training. Most notably, he has risen to the level of President’s Club in the Sandler Sales Institute.
As a youth Jim was fortunate to live and study in the Soviet Union, England, and Spain as well as the US – a background that provides a global outlook to all of his activities today. As a volunteer, Jim joined the Audiology Outreach 2010 Team that traveled to Kenya to provide humanitarian aid to school children. As a Board Member for Sigma Phi Epsilon Alumni Volunteer Corporation, Jim directs the service providing career mentoring to college students.
