The Intellectual property office (IPO) is hosting The Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market (OHIM) "British Day".

This is an event where UK users of Community Trade Marks and Designs Registry can meet representatives from OHIM to discuss matters of interest and concerns.

The format for the event will be presentations from OHIM followed by an open forum, giving attendees the opportunity to raise questions for discussion.

Government body responsible for Intellectual Property rights in the UK
Introduction

We are the official government body responsible for Intellectual Property (IP) rights in the United Kingdom. These rights include:

  • Patents
  • Designs
  • Trade marks
  • Copyright

We are an Executive Agency of the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS).

We promote innovation by providing a clear, accessible and widely understood IP system, which enables the economy and society to benefit from knowledge and ideas.
