Heroin overdose-related deaths increased in the past years. Walgreens plans to sell naloxone, an antidote for heroin overdose, without the need for any prescription to help curb the growing opioid epidemic.

This says a lot about society and our very real addiction problems in America

The Barbadian pop star's album Anti includes so many musical styles that it's been tagged "adrift" or "confusing." But there's method — and plenty of Caribbean history — behind the madness.

Thanks for being sexist Gloria.  This is why young women don't like the F word.  Thanks for putting them down because they don't agree with your orthodoxy.

Governing from the middle got Obama nowhere.  Governing like he had a mandate when he stole an election got Bush everything - it's time to tack this country to the left.

He's getting death threats because he's already threatening 50% of the world's population.  Duh.

I'll never forget my Anthro teacher in college and his unreasonable bias against animals thinking or having feelings.

Let's see - whales, dolphins, large primates, crows (presumably other large birds of prey), dogs, horses....

It could be a by-product of domestication but more likely a by-product of being a herd species.
It's not just dogs that have a connection with humans. Horses also are intelligent animals and, according to a new study, can actually read human emotions.

It's immoral to draft ANYONE.  Freedom of Conscience!  All volunteer professional fighting force!  But as long as people get raped in the US military so frequently it's almost like KP duty - then I think that the draft can not stand.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

In times of war, men and women both have complementary but different strengths. Drafting women would confuse these strengths and thus weaken our nation.

This makes me so sad.  Fighting this fight every day could kill anyone.  Never getting to stop fighting can grind down the best people.  We can't give up.  I've seen more of a shift in this year than I've seen in my lifetime on race (post civil rights baby).  We have to hold each other up.  Dying doesn't get their attention enough.  Living is the hardest task we have and the biggest gift.

#nuclear   #diablocanyon
This is the first time I've read an article that supported the idea that we could get to 100% renewable energy without nuclear.

California wants to lead a clean-energy revolution. But what happens if it shutters its last nuclear plant?
